Seriously, I have given away about 20 pants that are too big. But, pants and shirts that were a little tight are now a little baggy. Granted, I am wearing some that had gotten to tight to wear and I can't wear all the ones I used to, but I haven't gone down in size. I have gone to the store and tried smaller sizes. They still don't fit. Sad, but true. Seven

I'm with Becky! Just because you can wear the old clothing without them falling off to the ground doesn't mean that you cannot wear something much smaller! 125 lbs is awesome and I bet you are down many sizes at this point. You never know til you go out and try! Don't want to spend much - go to Goodwill. Heck, I know some of the things I donated and I bet they were snatched up. As for buying newer stuff, I've gotten some stuff at Walmart and Target. I adore Kohls when they have their sales. I love Macys but only with their extra special sales, coupons and clearance racks! Earlier this year I got some sweat/gym pants for $5 each at Macys. Ya gotta love that kind of sale. Luckily my sister gave me some of the clothing she undergrew. I have jeans of various sizes and more sweat suits than I can count. LOL! Kathy

Hey everybody, Speaking of surg in Brazil, I have a friend who had her WLS in Brazil. She had to be a self pay because of her ins. co.'s weight loss exclusion. My friend chose to have the DS surg done and it was very successful and she was very happy with it. A little over a year later she returned to Brazil for PS. She had a tummy tuck, arms, thighs, breast lift with augmentation and a mini face lift. She tells me that her body image problems were made worse by having all that surgery at one time. I guess it was just too much all at once. She tells me that sometimes she wishes she had not even had the DS because of body image issues. So, maybe its better to go slow and take the time to adjust and adapt. I have some skin issues. Hanging panni, batwing arms, saggy thighs and buttocks, but the thing that bothers me the most that I was NOT expecting is a sagging neck and jawline! I sooo want a facelift. Andrea

I know, isn't it weird? I wasn't sure I was going to want any PS, I figured I'd be okay... My tummy isn't horrible and can be easily hidden under clothes. The problem is, I've been really battling headgames for a while, when it comes to intimacy. I'll spare you the details, but I caught a glimpse of just how bad my tummy skin is in certain situations and every since have had a hard time being intimate with Aaron. And you wanna know what REALLY bothers me that I a) thought would never happen and b) can't believe it bothers me so much? My boobs! Or lack thereof... They are GONE! Not just sagging, not just soft. GONE! I'm going to take my time though, and give my body plenty of opportunities to do whatever it needs to do. I'm certainly not anxious to go under the knife again, and have been reading horrible stories about how bad PS sucks... I wonder if it's built into our psyches to be constantly critical of our bodies, no matter what...

I'm not having intimacy issue cuz there just hasn't been that much intimacy doled out around here. Seems like we are always on the go, go, go and tired. Hopefully having the holidays over, surgeries soon-to-be done with, etc - things will improve. But I tell you, looking in the mirror at my deflated boobs is disturbing. They may roll up into a 36D but there isn't much there. They look nice in clothing but it is all a facade. Then there is my butt. It sags so much at the bottom in shar-pei like rings (6-7 rings - and yes, I counted). When I stand facing forward in the mirror I can see the drooping between my legs. Heinous. I won't even say what it looks like. Egads! I thought that I would never ever consider plastics. Truly. I do want to see what changes my body goes through over the next 6 months to a year before making any decisions. We do NOT have money for this and if I did... I'd probably spend it on paying bills, getting new windows, new bathroom floor or something far more practical. My body isn't young so I really don't expect the skin situation to get better over time. In fact as I tone up more at the gym... I guess I expect more sagging and wrinkles and whatever to appear. I think as women we are always critical of our appearances especially our weight. The media project what "beauty" is and it is hard to live up to ridicilous standards. The "waif" look is just hideous. Girls that look like teen boys - all pale and crap. Ugly. That isn't beauty. Marily Monroe was curvy and the the equivalent of a double digit size (not sure if it would be a 12 now or bigger given that sizes have changed). Now that was one gorgeous shapely woman. Round in all the right places. I like the fact that full-figure models are appearing in ads but usually they are more like size 14s or 16s. Again, better than the waif thing but still not what I would consider full-figured or plus size. Kathy

If I were ever able to get plastics done...I think I would rather do it in small doses then do alot at once. First it must be very hard on a body. I understand the economics of taking one trip to Brazil rather than 3 but I think I'd rather ease into things. I'm curious to see what the woman from my support group feels like after her 6 weeks there and her 3 surgeries. Others that I have known that had multiple procedures did them over longer periods of time. Kathy

I'm kind of the opposite. I think I'd rather get as much done at once as possible. One, economics wise, it will be cheaper - shared cost of OR, anesthesia, etc. Two, time off work. If I'm going to take time off, I'd rather take 6 weeks off at one time than 2 4-week stints. Third, for me, it's kind of like wisdom teeth - I got them all pulled at once because I knew I wouldn't want to go back if I only had 2 done...

You have a serious point on that. Of course, I was thinking more of being independently wealthy and having funds and time off coming out my arse and being able to do what I want when I want. Nice fantasy, eh? Kathy

Someone in Nebraska won the whole kit-n-kaboodle on Powerball. Dang it! We won $7. Guess I shouldn't make any Brazilian reservations yet... Kathy

Just FYI: Spanx are WONDERFUL!!! They aren't constrictive and uncomfortable like conventional girldes, but they hold you in and up!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!! Invest in one ASAP!!!!!!!
