Positive changes with plateau!
Hi Maysters:
I've basically been stuck like many for the past few weeks. I go up and down 2 pounds or so. I try to stay off of the scale, but can't do that completely! I've lost 121, but really want to lose another 40 pounds.
However... I'm noticing that my clothes are seeming looser even though I'm not losing pounds. Could I possibly be gaining muscle?? I'm not working out with weights like I know I need to, but my activity level is up and I do walk every single day.
Monday, I went to get a pedicure. Before WLS, I fit in the spa chair, but it was tight and no wiggle room at all. Since then I've noticed that I'm more comfy and have a little extra room. Well, Monday, I sat in the chair, put my purse next to me in the seat and still had extra space!! How cool is that??

When I experience those little victories, I realize that life is sooo much better since WLS and I AM continuing to get smaller even though sometimes the scale does not reveal that to me. Thank God for this wonderful tool we've been given!!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Wanda

Hey Wanda! Thanks for posting that. It makes me feel better to hear that others might be going through similar times to me.
I'm eating right, getting all my water, protein, and exercise and am still struggling with being stuck. But, I've gone down a pants size this month. And people are giving me the 'wow' response ('wow! you look great!') all the time.

I hear ya Wanda! And although I started this whole Regroup Plateau Buster I am very very happy with my appearence. I must say I am on the edge of Hot!!
And like you even though my weight really hasnt changed since Christmas I have lost a whole size. From 12 to 10 and can now wear a small shirt.
I am Happy!

Wanda,
Everytime I stall, or plateau, I always find that is is my body making changes in size somewhere. It's as though my body needed some time to catch up with the weightloss and adjust itself.
I also notice an increase of compliments during that stall time - like, "you're losing more weight, aren't you?" Because they can see the changes taking place.
That's why I never get too upset during a stall.
Don't get me wrong.... it is frustrating not to have the scale move for weeks at a time... but just remember, you're changing....
