Aliya I quit on Dec 31 2004 and haven't looked back. I am happy every day that I am a non smoker. I dont know the real deal but I know she shouldn't smoke. I would post the question on the main message board.

I'm still smoking, which is bad, I know. Aside from the regular cardio/pulmonary problems you would expect for any smoker, the additional risk is to your pouch. Cigarettes can cause ulcers - not something you want to risk when your pouch is all you have... Talk about walking the talk, huh?

thanks guys! I mean I know I have some bad habits, but she's gotta realize this is a whole different ballgame...as I walk the talk with Becky...

Yea, what Becky said (though I don't smoke)! But also add that all the $$$ she saves from not buying the smokes could be put to good use buying clothing. Kathy

Hello I quit December 2004 and have not gone back. I knew I wanted the surgery and they told me i had to be smoke free for 3 months before surgery onley because i was smoking like 2or3 a day. But i have not wanted to go back. Part because of the money. Tell her to make it hard on herself like no smoking in the house car etc. We never smoked in the house onley outside and it is miserable in the snow. Hope she is able to stay away.
