Pre-B: Protein shake
Cup o' joe w/ creamer, minimoos and sweet n' low
B: 3 slices taylor ham (aka pork roll as in NJ pork roll), 1/3 of an apple
SF chocolate bar that someone left me
L: Chinese food (insert BIGGEST MISTAKE IN THE WORLD notation there) - had chicken w/ green beans w/o rice.
I dumped like crazy for hours! The pain on a scale of 1 to 10 was a solid 4. My abdomen got so bloated my pants felt like they would pop. They hurt. And these pants are loose on me. Even taking a deep breath physically hurt. It isn't all gone but much improved.
D: 2 slices provolone, some tasty meatballs hubby made (no sauce) ala Giada.
S: Protein shake
Think that will do it. If I get hungry some green beans (not Chinese variety this time)
Water - 52 oz thus far
Vitamins - running behind due to the dumping
Exercise - does squirming from the pain count?

It's 3:30 and I haven't had anything to eat yet. Wedneday is my church's "fast day" and we don't eat food until evening. I have been drinking an incredible amount of liquids though - easily 100 ounces thus far. I took out a salmon pattie for supper, so I'll have that with some veggies.

OMGSH - I'm so happy today I could just keel over (oh wait, no - the keel over is from feeling sooooo crappy lately)..... any way..... this weekend I was at a Mary Kay convention (which was AWESOME but very draining) there my National Sales Director's husband came up to me and said that his wife told him of my health issues. He gave me the name and number of a doctor for me to go see. I thanked him politely and that was that.
I never really thought much of it until today when dh asked me if I had gotten ahold of that doctor, I hadn't but told him I would. I really wasn't expecting anything to come of it since this is a SMALL town doctors an my BIG city doctors wouldn't even help me.
WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called and spoke with his medical assistant. She has had wls and is married to the brother of the man who gave me the phone number. She knew all about complications from wls and she said that this pcp has 10 wls patients currently and she's his problem patient so she was glad to have another join the ranks. LOL
So I made an appointment for next Thursday (the same day as my hematologist apt) and his office is just the next town north of me, so it's 1/2 the distance then my old pcp.
Woooooooo Hoooooooo - I feel like I have some HOPE again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll keep you up to date on what I find out and what they're going to do.
Hugs
Laurie

Debra,
Thanks for the condolences about my kitty and my friend. It has been very hard.
I'm glad you are posting about the reality of plastic surgery. I, too, will get a tummy tuck when I can, but, I find it easier to deal with the realities of a situation if I'm prepared in advance for how hard it can be. Hopefully, I can get mine in a year from now. It will depend on money. Also, I want to give my body plenty of time to adjust and it is still adjusting all the time, even though the lbs aren't going down.
Try and be patient with your recovery...good luck!!! We are pulling for you!
Hugs,
Lori
Topic: RE: WEIGHT STABALIZED, BUT WANT TO LOSE MORE
I am in a similar boat then you.. I have been a slow loser the whole time, and I learned to accept that.. I am happy with the weight I have lost, from 389 to 232 but I want to lose anbother 35-40 to reach my goal of 189 (making a total loss of 200 lbs).I eat good, and make sure I get my protein and water, if I get dehydrated I know it instantly, I get really dizzy.. I still dump if I eat something with more then 4 g of sugar, so sweets are not much of a problem, I leep the SF candies out of the house most of the time I work out sometimes, b ut not as often as I should, I never have, partly due to health reason, partly because I have always hated exercise.. ... Over the last few months , my weight stabilized too, and I had resolved myself that I was done, and I was happy, I went from a size 34 to a size 18.. and that is pretty good, I don't get winded when I walk up the driveway, I fit on roller coasters, I feel better! and look better (dressed anyway) Then I met a new guy , he is a big guy and he started walking over the summer to lose weight, and it is working for him.. so we walk ALOT.. the first 2 weeks we were together I lost 9 lbs, just from the added walking! we would walk 3-6 miles twice a week... The loss can start again, exercise is KEY, I have always known that, but motivation is hard for me.. butif I can do it, you can do it..
I really hope you are able to get theose numbers moving again!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I'm still praying for your continued recovery, Deb! It's going to be so amazing for you when all is said and done.
No, you haven't scared me one bit. I cannot wait to start my plastics! I just need to get off the last of my pre-plastics weight (about 10 -15 more pounds) and get my $$$ straight, the under the knife I go!!!
Anyway, Keep taking it easy! Hugs, Tracy

Debra - You are perfectly NORMAL as far as your recovery goes!!!!! The TT is a huge kick in the butt!! I couldn't believe how hard it was. What type of binder are you wearing???? You can expect the swelling to be there for up to four months or so (some people are even longer then that) I too had a hard time standing up straigt, and laying flat in bed just about did me in.
Just keep resting and taking it easy!!!
Hugs,
Laurie
