That's GREAT!!!! It is nice to have a computer at home. I'm blessed NOT to have a lap top though, I think I'd be in bed all day long playing on the computer. At least this way - I do get up and get a shower and dressed!!! hahaha

Topic: Labs - the thorn in my side
Well I got a couple more of my labs back so now all I'm missing is B1. They misprocessed it and I had to get it redrawn last Friday. Here's what's askew:
Lab (normal range) current, previous
Ferritin (10 - 291) 8, 15, 26, 71 steady decline since wls
Hematocrit (34.9 - 46.9) 33.9, 36.4, 40, 40.6 steady decline since wls
Hemoglobin (12.0 - 15.7) 11.9, 12.9, 14, 14.1 steady decline since wls
Iron (60 - 180) 39, 35, 73, 48 up and down
PreAlbumin (20 - 40) 16.8, 19.1 I've only had this taken twice, but declining as well
Vit. A (30 - 90) 34, 30 YIPPIE, got something up!!!
Vit B6 (2.0 - 32.8) 13.1, 12.3 got another up although this is still low for my body, I'm feeling the effects of it being lower then what I need
Vit B12 (130 - 777) 299, 536.... yup the shots bring me up but the sublingual bring me down... switching over to self injected shots. UGH
Vit D (8.9 -46.7) 12.3, 21.5 dropping as well
Zinc (70 - 150) 85, 59 YIPPIE got another one up some too
Going to the hematologist on Nov. 2.. praying that he'll take a look at the overall decline and say it's time for some IV intervention here and NOT have me try another suppliment!!!!!!!!
Interesting Note: I did call my surgeon's office regarding my labs. The nurse had me read them to her over the phone. When she heard that my hemoglobin was ONLY 11.9 (her words) she shut off everything else. She said that they dont consider me in any danger until it hit 5 or 6 and that I should just keep doing what I'm doing and get them rechecked next month and call her back.

UGH - I rode a school bus loaded with 4th grades all the way to the state capital and back. We left at 8am and got back at 6:30pm. The lesson I learned is that even though I came prepared with food - eating on a noisy, bouncy, school bus does not work well unless you're a 4th grader!!!
B - oatmeal 5 grams protein
S - chug a lugged a protein drink right before getting on that bus. 30 g protein
L - 1/2 apple with peanutbutter 5 grams protein
S - protein bar right before getting on the bus to return 10 grams protein
D - McDonalds - dbl cheese burger no bun, appledippers 25 g protein
So a lousy day eating calorie wise but it was 75 grams of protein
Water totally sucked today too. I drank 40 oz of water.
I got home at 7:30pm and COLLAPSED into bed!!!!! Stayed there until 10am this morning.
4th graders will run you until you drop!!!!!

not too bad overall....
scale holding at 165.

Cup o' joe w/ creamer, minimoos, sweet n' low
B: Deli ham, 2 slices of American cheese, 1/3 apple
L: White chili, cheddar cheese
S: Protein shake
S2: SF Blue Bunny Ice Cream Pop
D: 1 slice provolone, 2-3 oz baked salmon, green beans w/ almonds and whipped butter
S: Protein shake
Water: Working on it. 52 oz thus far.
Vitamins: Need 2 doses of calcium yet.
Exercise: Nope.

S - apple
S - Starbucks - SF, FF
D - 3oz of tuna... too tired and uninspired to actually fix something - those little pouches are so handy...
No exercise today, although I did park at the top of the garage at school and took the stairs...
Water - decent, maybe 50 oz
Vits - all but my evening calcium
