Last night I was at a Mary Kay event (what a totally awesome fun night) My friend is a new Cadilac driver ($42,000 car FREE to her for two years). She's one of those ppl who you look at and think, "wow, she's got it all together and she looks so great and she's such a wonderful person, etc." Well, on my way home last night she calls me and asks me if I know what my inseam is. I said, "like the length of my pants?" She said "yes, do you know your inseam?" I replied, "I've never shopped at a store where you had to know your inseam." *Laurie's feel pretty stupid right about now.* She continues, "Well, most of them dont, but do you buy petite or regular?" *Now we're talking my language* So I tell her I wear petite in dress pants usually because I have to alter regulars (too long). So here's what she says, "Well, you know I'm moving and I hope you won't be offended but I have a bunch of clothes that are either too small or I just don't really wear them and since YOUR NOTHING BUT A TWIG I thought perhaps you could use some of them......" (said in a very nice and complimentary way) OMGSH - This girl is like the poster child for "skinny" She's never had kids and has a GREAT body that's always dressed to the hill - and she wants to give ME clothes!!!!! ONE of us has a major body image problem going on here!!! Either she "thinks" that she's FAT, or I'm smaller then I think. Now I thought I had adjusted my brain to my body size, but something just isn't right here. I just laughed all the way home last night!!!!! Even if only ONE things she gives me fits - I'd be so darn tickled to wear something from her it will be worth it all!!!! Laurie

I LOVE hazelnut coffeemate!!! I add it in to my hot chocolate and protein in the morning, totally yummy!!!! I know all about strating out with good intentions and then grabbing this and that along the day - and regreting it later!! Old habits are darn hard to over come! But even so, I don't eat anything like I used to eat, and neither do you!!! We're eatting healthier even though we do mess it up and dont forget that Laurie

Howdy! I had a not so good eating weekend too... Didn't eat much junk, just didn't stick to normal meals or take my vits or get my water in... But, like you said, it's a new week... B - 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces bacon MS - achievone shake MS - 4 strawberries and some yogurt L - bowl of chili AS - pb crackers, 1/2 a cuke AS - a small handful of doritos D - chicken fajitas, tablespoon of rice Ok, so it wasn't a great day today, either. What can I say? Did better on my water, vits and exercise, too...

Heather, Thanks for sharing. Hope it helps others not to let strange sensations go on without having them looked at and to take their vitamins and to get their lab tests done regularly. I hope that you get all your issues resolved very quickly through proper vitamins, protein and monitoring. If you aren't taking protein supplements give your malnutrition issues, I'd probably add them into your day a few times to get your body stores back up. Be sure they check all your vitamin levels out fully and carefully. Be sure to get a copy for your own records. If you want we/I can review 'em for you. I've learned alot over the past couple of years and what I don't know (plenty) I know some good places to look things up. My doctor never gave me a goal weight. I'll see him in November after my 18 month labs. Right now I'm 156.5 at 5'7.5". I've lost a couple this month without really trying but I'm keeping an eye on it. Don't think I want to go below 155. While I think I look fine, my hands are beginning to look too thin and I don't want to that follow in other areas of my body too. My muscle tone is good and I keep my protein intake high and have taken my vitamins religiously and have gotten my labs done on schedule (every 3 months 1st year and now every 6 months) May have to increase my intake - what a strange, strange concept. Good luck with everything. Please do not remain a lurker. We have had a few people here go through this and we can help and everyone can definitely learn from your and their experienced. Hugs, Kathy

I remember the worst of the pain from my herniated discs and disc tear (pre-WLS) and while I haven't been through childbirth so I don't have anything for comparison... the pain was absolutely hideous. When I was at the ER with the back and I got up to walk to the bathroom... I was sobbing uncontrollably holding onto the handrail on the wall. I couldn't move. The nurses were convinced I was passing a kidney stone. Nope, pure unadulterated back pain whi*****luded lots of muscle spasms. Sounds like what you might have gone through and I can honestly say.... I wish that on no one and I feel your pain. Owie! I'm glad you are doing so much better with it! Kathy
