I hit about 1800 calories, which is on the high end of what I like but the protein bar I ate was 330 of it and I ate that on the way to class thinking I wouldn't get out until later than I did, so I was figuring on needing the extra fuel...

Well, sweety, they are doing amazing things with cancer if that is what he has so don't assume the worst yet. He will need lots of support to go thru this and this may be the perfect opportunity for you to be strong for him. One way that you might be able to help your dad and yourself too is to learn how to budget and stick to it. Your community college or where you are going to school may be able to help you learn how to do that. That would be a big concern off your dad's mind to know that you will be able to take care of yourself. And think how proud you will be of yourself knowing that you have taken responsibility for yourself. You can do it, I know you can! In many ways, learning how to spend your money wisely is similar to learning how to eat healthy. You need to resist the urges to buy impulsively just as you need to learn how to resist that head hunger. Learning how to manage money wisely is part of growing into a mature young woman. You can do it, girl! (((hugs))) Linda

I had a wondefrul weekend....untill.... Well I no longer work Fridays, and I only have 1 class until 10a, so I went home and vegged out. Ty had a birthday party at 5p (who the hell does that) I had plans for a blind date, and we went to benihanas....what a great date place. And this man looked exactly like his picture, and has a great personality. He even filled up my gas tank. Ty was at his dad's, and he came home with this yucky fungal infection, finally got him into the doctor today, got the cream, he'll be fine.

Hi.... I've been scarce around here. I read a lot but don't post. I need to work on that. My weekend was good- it was my DH's birthday, so Friday I made him a nice dinner and the kids each had a friend over. Saturday he was a judge in a surf competition all day, so I did some housework and went down to the beach and joined him for a while. Sunday we went to a Dodger game. Fun family weekend! I ate HORRIBLY this weekend, though, and I'm feeling a lot of guilt about it. Back to being good today. I hate the way I feel after a bad eating weekend! I ge so mad at myself. Have a good weekend, everyone!
