Well if ALL of it counts then here's mine.... Walked from bedroom to bathroom. Bathroom to kitchen, made breakfast (stretching those arm muscle reaching for dishes) Then walked to my desk and ate breakfast. Waved my left arm about 2 dozen times (telling the kids goodbye). Did about 2 dozen right arm stretches (spoon from bowl to mouth). I done hundreds of finger extensions (typing on the keyboard today). Oh and lets not forget the other three trips to the bathroom so far today. I did my weight training too - carried an arm load of books to the car and then into the library. Walked from where I parked across the street to the library and then back to the car again. Walked from where I parked into the middle school and back again when I dropped off my dd's medication. And of course, did neck exercises while backing out of the above mentioned parking spots!!! Hhmmm, oh yes, then I did deep waist bends as I put my lunch in the oven and took it out again. More right arm stretches (eating) Wrist twists, while opening bottles of vitamins; and more wrist twists while opening my bottled water. Now I'm back to finger extentions!!!! WHEW!!!!! I think I'm ready for a nap Laurie

Candy - I've been making oatmeal pancakes for almost a year now. They are very good!! I never thought of using flavored oatmeal though, i just use regular oatmeal, one egg, a heaping T of cottage cheese a dash of milk, and a dash of vanilla - toss it in my magic bullet and cook as usual Good breakfast on a chilly day. Kathy, Glad you enjoyed such a great workout today ! I got tired reading all you did. Now I need a nap You are a trooper ! I hope to get to the pool - hope it doesn't thunderstorm, tho rain is in the forecast, cuz they'll close the pool. I do need to go out and mop and hose off the front porch before I go so - maybe that counts as exercise , too ! I did sweep it off and bag up old phone books and magazines and get them off the porch at 8:30 am, so maybe that's movement too, Yay! Hoping the pool will ease the sore muscles from yesterday's gardening marathon Mary

Topic: RE: "In the" dumps
Sorry you are in the "dumps" Kathy. It's so hard when you can't really figure out why. I've been having the low sugar crashes alot lately. 4-5 x Saturday and couldn't find a rhyme or reason because everything I ate was healthy. I was getting exhausted from the crashes and from the emotional reaction I was having to them. It does create anxiety about WHAT IS GOING ON AND WHY???? I guess I like to KNOW what's up so I can DO something about it , this kind of mystery is not fun! I don't like to feel powerless. We had a 24 hr prayer vigil at my church. ( Fri. 6pm - Sat. 6pm ) Afterward at the 6 pm service the pastor said when the regular service was over they would pray for healing and annoint with oil. I told my hubby I was going to ask for prayer. I was among the last 4 people prayed for and as I waited my turn we all prayed together for the others aheas of us. People are going through so much pain and suffering and it helped me to focus on them and pray for them too. Well, yesterday was a reprieve from the crazy blood sugar crashes!!!! I was able to work in the yard most of the day and later go back till nearly dark and get some more done in the garden. ( which, BTW, I'm getting a shovel ready - just for you! ) Anyway I felt good yesterday and even ate 2 chocolate chip cookies last nt. which I don't usually eat but for some reason did - they were on the coffee table and we were watching the 911 stuff on TV ( upsetting ) ... well , temptation won out...but didn't cause a crash. Should have. All I can say is thank God. Was it a permanent healing? Dunno...but a break is a break and I will take it however long it lasts, gratefully. Hope you get a reprieve too. Mary

Topic: "In the" dumps
Don't know what is up... dumped Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lovely, just lovely. All eating different things. This isn't late dumping like low blood sugar either. No sweating, no shaking. Just abdominal discomfort and it isn't gas or constipation/diarrhea type thing. Just discomfort. That's how I dump! Friday night it was Outback Alice Springs chicken. Lead suspect: honey mustard sauce. Saturday noon it was asian food from the Wokery asian food bar at Wegmans. Lead suspect: not sure - could have been a number of things. I chose the meat from dishes. Meat not breaded or in sauces that look like they are sweetened. I've eaten there a number of times before chosing as wisely as I could. So dunno. Sunday evening it was 2 rykrisp crackers. II bought a pack that were made with only rye flour to try 'em and see if I had problems like I do with wheat. Well... had problems alright and it was ugly too. Abdominal pain and my belly got swollen the equivalent of 3-4 month pregnancy level. I stood and pointed down and said to Rich "LOOK!" He looked horrified/shocked and said "Wow, what's up with that?". Fun, fun, fun. Kathy

After 2 full weeks of doing nothing, nada, zip, cero... I returned to the gym this morning. Whew. Wasn't easy getting up. But I felt better after. I definitely miss it. Did 3 minutes warm-up on treadmill. Lower body weight machines followed by dips (I think that is what they are called). 60 minute heart rate strength workout on the treadmill. Did a total of 2.9 miles in the hour keeping my heart rate in the desired ranges for the time increments on my plan (incline from varies from 2 (warmup and cooldown only), 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10). Kathy
