Topic: RE: That full sensation...Question
That ol' pouchie of ours is a little bit of a fickle pickle. Some days I scare myself at how much I can eat then at other times just a little bit seems to be all I can eat or want. I have noticed a strange thing. I do not often get that full feeling signal anymore. Until it is too late - then I'm miserable. I am having to try to pay attention to when I eat to gage stopping BEFORE I feel full. Two extra (medium sized ) bites can put me into a real 'hurtin' . About a month ago I ate most of a 6" chick terryaki sub and it startled me and scared me that I " ate the whole thing" !! I have been trying to step away from flour products for the most part because they do a number with my blood sugar. And gotta say I'm glad of being forced to stay off them for now. Doing Weigh****chers helps me 'keep it real' with counting everything I eat. If you bite it you write it my instructor insists ! I did try the Core plan last wk. and actually liked it alot. Somehow thought I'd be deprived because of the limit on the white food list but it was very satisfying overall. I ate alot of ff yogurt which is a no limit food. * Just a note: saw my pcp today and he recommends the Activa* yogurt very highly. wants me to eat one a day for 6 wks. till I come back for a follow up. He states that it is super loaded with the healthy bacteria our digestive tracks NEED and that he's seen trememdous improvement in patients with serious constipation and digestive issues who have given this activa a serious try. So I'm game. He noted with our re-routed digestive systems it should be very healthy. And even may help us absorb more nutrients if the digestive system is well nourished w/ the healthy bacteria. I think I will take a tape recorder to my next visit because he shares so much great info and my brain can't seem to get it all down fast enough ( that's my brain smoking ) I have been making my fruit salad and added sf jello this wknd and can eat a whole cup at a time. I used lots of grapes and blueberries and peaches. It does give me a full feeling. And I know I can eat more if I do get to wanting a snack for just 1 or 2 points. I bought some lo carb Bryers rocky road made w/splenda Sunday in a little cone and it was good. I know it's low in points but forgot to tally that up. I have read several times of post-ops who found themselves eating/ravaging food and gaining. They simply went back to the immediately post-op surgery diet and did liquids for a few days then puree and prot. shakes and then at a wk or two out, soft foods then whole. I have read they can retrain their pouches and it can and does work for them. Something to remember that if we get out of control, it is possible to go back to square one and start over.

North Highlands - the neighborhood I reside in. The Streaker - me, Becky Sue, when she decided to get ****y and try jogging. Specifically, me, who got so excited that she was actually JOGGING that she didn't notice that her yoga pants were falling off, or, that they were down around her knees. Commando - how I typically prefer my under-yoga-pants attire. Thankfully, not today.

Topic: The Woman Reading
One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book. Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?" "Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?") "You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs. "I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading." "Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up." "If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault," says the woman. "But I haven't even touched you," says the game warden. "That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment." "Have a nice day ma'am," and he left. MORAL: Never argue with a woman *****ads. It's likely she can also think.

Topic: RE: Roll-Call: 16 Month (lurkers - delurk and say hello)
Been away for the computer for days cuz... I was in GRANDMA HEAVEN ! Had sooo much fun with 6 of our grandchildren this weekend. We made carmel apples together and rolled them in candy sprinkles or chopped peanuts. The kids helped and we had a ball. Although I'll warn ya, don't fall for those thick lolipop sticks w/the apples. Our craft shop had one size box of popsicle sticks ( 1,000 ) I didn't think I'd ever get around to using that many so asked a gal who was stocking the candymaking aisle and she sold me the thick white sticks - which after the apple is on and the carmel ...it goes limp. So we gave all the kiddos a baggie-glove to use to balance and eat theirs. Kids don't mind the mess. I also had a MOM moment while I watched 4 of my kids and their spouses play ball in the front yard with all the grandkids running around. Gotta say it fills up my heart to see how much fun they have together. Watching the love between them touches me. When they were young and fought so much I wondered if they would ever really love each other, Yes, they do ( and God answers mothers' prayers )! It was a great holiday. Lots of cooking and cutting up tons of fresh veggies. The grandkids, who have teeth, fell in love with the organic carrotts. They were so sweet. Not a bitter bite in the batch. ( at $.85 a lb. it was worth it to see them devoured ) Now speaking of teeth my little 5 yr. old grandaughter lost her 1st tooth after 48 hrs of wiggling it and every relative in town offering to pull it out for her { for free } She was so proud ! Hope the fairy ( remembered) to come around and replace it with some shiny coins. { Once when my youngest lost one of her baby teeth...the tooth fairy forgot to come and leave a prize and we had to scold that tooth fairy ( me). } I guess I'll never live that one down.. Hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday weekend. lost .8 lb. this wk. wishing it were more but will take a loss anytime Mary p.s. Glad to hear Rich is OK and the visit w/ sis went well, in spite of Ernesto dear.

If you don't go to the gym, get some handweights and do some stuff at home. Stability/exercise ball. Just gotta do it. Use water bottles or something. Luckily our gym doesn't have too many pretty young thangs. Guys who think that they are all that - perhaps a few. But no pretty young thong wearing thangs. I'm happy about that. Early mornings are the steady workout crowd. What some cheese with your whine?
