And SOOOOOOOOOOOORE!!!!! Jeez - I'd heard that the tummy tuck was harder physically than the gastric bypass and I can testify and will be a witness to THAT! I'm hurting, but am alert, mobile, and doing pretty well.
Thank you so much for all of your prayers - I have definitely felt them!

Got path report today. Margins aren't clear. I'm heading towards a mastectomy. Cancelled appointments with radiation oncologist and oncologist for next week. Made appointment with plastic surgeon for 2/12. Then she'll have to coordinate with breast surgeon and I'll get a surgery date. I'd be surprised if it is before mid-March but who knows...
Nope, no game plan yet...
Thanks for thinking of me!
Hugs, Kathy
Topic: RE: today..... 22 months since i quit smoking!!!!
I hear you!!!! I quit smoking in Jan of 2005...that makes me greater than 2 years! I still have the "don't smoke" post it from my daughter on the visor of my car. I knew that it would never make any sense to have GBS and still smoke. I did it for my better health and today 80lbs down I am a healthy happier person!

Just thinking of you today. How did your pathology report turn out yesterday??? Do they have a game plan in place for treatment now??
Laurie - still praying!!!!

Hurrrrray Michelle!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wishing you a perfect surgery tomorrow and a speedy, complication-free recovery!! And yes, take those pain meds on a time schedule - no matter if you think you need it or not (for the first week). You don't want to find out the PAINFUL way that you needed it and didn't take them!!
HUGS

Thanks Kathy..... I smoked for more years than I was obese..... and I wanted to have this surgery so bad that it was the only thing that was motivation enough to get me to stay quit. I tried SO MANY times to quit. Once I even quit for 8 years....
I'm so grateful for this surgery for more reasons than just quitting smoking. I needed to get HEALTHY. I needed to take the weight off.
I was on so many medications..... for High blood pressure, cholest., and others...
Jess.
Now, i just need to find my smile............. the real one!!!!
HOPE YOU ARE DOING BETTER, KATHY!!!!!
