Topic: RE: Help, I'm grieving and want to binge
Hi Debra, I understand your feelings of frustration and grief and wanting to turn to food and such in this time. I have in fact been doing this in the past few weeks and my weight just keeps going back and forth up 3 lbs and down 3lbs... but more upsetting is i have not been able to get myself to do my routine work-out due to being so 'down' and this is causing a vicous cycle... its so difficult when we do this to ourselves... i wish i had more answers, and i dont mean to turn this into 'me me me' but like someone else said..it is good to write on here. i am learning to share more and more myself. food is NOT the answer. I know that eating healthy and drinking lots of water and exercising would make me feel SO MUCH better, but..... actually doing those things... well... i guess it just takes time and practice to do them. keep coming back on here, know that people care about you. know that others are facing struggles. i am SO VERY SoRRY about your Dad. Its a very tough time, the absolute toughest to go through this....My heart goes out to you, Debra. and send you and internet I'm glad you have your husband and other family/children there to support you... Jess

Thanks, Heather. I appreciate you thinking of me. I am currently in the middle of a Christmas gift meltdown and feel better now seeing your message. I needed that. Yup, MRI is scheduled for 7 am tomorrow. Not sure when the surgeon will get the results. I'll ask for an ETA at the radiology place. I'm scheduled for surgery on December 27th. I report at 7 am. They nuke me at 8 am (to find the sentinel lymph node). At 9 am they do the mammogram guided thingy where they will mark the area to be removed...ewww, wires in my boob and then dye so the doc knows what to remove. It is an area not a lump so she needs guidance. Then surgery itself at 11:30 am. A long day. I assume it is outpatient surgery and I can go home after. Take care, Kathy

For Vegetables eat from only this list: Broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, spinach, Brussels sprouts, Asparagus & Cabbage For Fruit choose only from this list: Cantaloupe, honey dew, watermelon and strawberries #6 IF IT IS NOT ON THE LIST YOU MAY NOT HAVE IT! #7 Keep a food diary and try to get 30 minutes of exercise daily. I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. If you need to chat about the eating issues (depression can pull you into anorexia quicker than anything), please feel free to email me anytime! Heather
