Topic: WARNING....DON'T FORGET TO CHEW!
We must not forget that it is VERY impotant we chew our food thoroughly. I went to luch 4 weeks ago and had salmon with lots of grilled veggies. I was very hungry and ate fast without chewing thoroughly. By the end of the meal I had sharp lower abdominal pains. After an hour I decided I'd better go to the ER. A catscan showed an internal hernia...I was taken into emergency surgery. As it turned out, it was not a hernia but an intestinal blockage which mimics an internal hernia on a catscan. I was in the hospital for 5 days. The only good think was that I was on morphine for the Bears first loss of the season!
Even though we're 18 months out, we can't forget the basics; eat slowly and CHEW, CHEW CHEW! What a painful reminder!

Topic: anyone ever made a radical move from one part of the country to another (by themself?!)
In particular I am curious about the women who may have one this alone, but any and all stories are of great interest. I live in Boston and am thinking of moving South... perhaps to Florida. I have no family living here any longer and since i lost the weight I have lost all my close friends, and my b/f of many many years.... well... our relationship is fizzling (YOU WOULD THINK IT WOULD BE SO GREAT!!! now that i am wearing 2s and 4s instead of 12s and 14s nuy nooooooo... no i have sagging skin and droopy knees.... lets face it... i'll never be a model. and my face ..... oh boy. i'm not 'arm candy' but i am fun..... lolol 
What can i say?

Hi Glamor lady.... 
you look soooo good!! I hate to even talk about this subject in the same post.... lol... but.... oh well... lol... I am still dumping!! the only thing i can associate it with is nerves or eating too fast. becuase i have the same foods for the past 18 months and when i dump is when i'm stressed at work or when i'm rushing.
also been having some other funky pains and if i describe it here you will all tell me to go see a dr. so i am just trying to cope with it because i think its just nerves. i dont have the money or the time to gofor all these tests right now. so i'm trying to heal on my own... just a little scary. hopefully it wont get serious.
and they holidays are upon us.... stress. my family is all away, and my boyfriend may or may not be breaking up with me.. so its a bit stressful for me right now. lol
and my weight is just fine, actually the doctor wants me to gain a little!1 YAY! 5-10 he suggested.... music to my ears...

Thanks, I'm doing well. Yes, Rich will be getting glam shots only the hair stylist doesn't know what to style on him. Just kidding. Seriously he would like some "head shots" for future use... theater, etc. When we have the budget for it, he'll do it. Plus we'd like to get a new pic together too.
I'm doing well. Still have some issues. Still have right side pain. I've figured out it seems to be triggered by acidy things like things that have citric acid in it. Don't have a clue what that means but it definitely brings the discomfort on. I also occassionally get some stomach pain that isn't dumping. Only had it happen a few times and thing it is more digestive but not gas. Don't like it, don't like it at all. It unnerves me. I see my surgeon next week for my 18 month check-up and I'll address it all with him.

Kathy, you look beautiful! I hope you are doing well and feeling better these days. Last time I checked we were having similar symptoms of the same nature.... eeks...
You have done so well, I look forward to seeing photos of your husband, will he get them done Glam style too?

I did them through Kathie Care. You know her from the VA board. She does Mary Kay and then works with a hair dresser and a photographer in Manassas. Don at Sundance Studios. He does lots of these shoots for teen parties and such. He is great at this. Actually great at all he does. I want him to do photos of Rich and I. And Rich could use some photos for a portfolio.
