Topic: OT..x-mas lists already??
My children are they out of the norm?? 2 of the 3 have given me their x-mas lists.I think I liked them better when they were under the age of 5 .I need to hit the lottery geeze.I liked it better when I could buy them fisher price toys vs computer stuff and car accessories.I guess I am getting payed back from when I was a teen.I love christmas the decorations and stuff but I think the person who said that x-mas was hap..happiest time of the year was ...a kid.I can see how this time of the year can be depressing and stressful.Have a good Saturday I think I am going to the mall to start some of my shopping ..ugh..good sales this weekend though. ~Laura~

Welcome!!! I am usually a lurker but this site is great.I go to the main message board lot.Just ask any questions usually there is someone or a bunch of us that have some good tips or answers for you.Congrads on your weight"release" thats a great way of putting it.My tool works well for me too.I started at 216 and I weigh now 117-120.I fluctuate and its okay because I am happy with the way I look now.Took a while for my mind to catch up with my body ..always had to do a double take when I went by a mirror.Have a good Saturday I think I amgoing to hit up some of the good sales they are having this weekend.Shopping I hated it before (for myself) now I am like a teenager its fun and no more Lane Bryant for me ~Laura~

Topic: Hello Everyone, Im a newbie to OH.com
Hello Everyone...I'm new to OH and just wanted to introduce myself. I am 18 months out like all or most of you and wanted to say hello. I haven't updated my profile yet but I will. I had a great surgeon and belonged to another on line support group in CA but wanted to branch out nationally to see what others were experiencing especially those who had surgery around my time frame. I hope I can get some useful tips and offer some along the way and participate in some of the conversations and maybe make some good friends. I like to believe that I have released 102 pounds, not lost them because if I "lost" them I have the mental picture or thought that I just might find them again! LOL. I know that RNY/WLS is a tool...and with all tools we must learn to use them properly and correctly for them to work. I hope to get to know all of you better, and make some new friends! Thanks! Valerie

Topic: OT: Rick's passed
I just thought I'd let ya'll know that Rick finally passed today. It took a lot longer than we expected. Of course, it's horribly sad, but I'm so glad, for the family's sake, that it's finally over... Please keep his family in your thoughts as they recover - it's been an awfully long 2 weeks for them.

One since we are pretty far out now I was wondering about some things: How many calories can we have now a day? And with our pills can we take some as big as the calcium pills? I call them horse pills. LOL! (I am wanting to take a multivitamin and a calcium pill in the morning that are the size of horse pills and didn't know how it would go, plus my prilosec otc and my birth control) THANKS Just an update on me. I have started clinicals and well I have been tired but so far I am loving it! Everything is new and I am enjoying it! That is all for now lol! I am hungry! Thanks for your responses!!! April

It is so much fun to live vicariously and read about everyone else's adventures. You guys do some cool stuff. I AM AT GOAL. Yes, I said it. After an entire lifetime of obesity, as of yesterday, my BMI says "normal", and the scale god said 150 for two days in a row. It has been hovering between 151-153 for about two weeks now, so I am overjoyed. And, I am wearing my size 8 Levi's WITH my shirt tucked in. Never, ever would I have done that before. And, for the first time since my tt seven weeks ago, I am feeling energy. I cleaned my house yesterday and today. Imagine seven weeks without the toilets being cleaned, yuck. And, I worked out today for the first time since mid-Sept. I only did a 15 minute workout, but I didn't feel like I was going to die after, so I am starting on the 8 week challenge. My hubby is out of town visiting his mother, long story, and I have a friend coming for the weekend staying at my house, (guess that's why I cleaned the bathrooms ). Unfortunately, now I have to go to a class all day Saturday and Sunday for work, so I won't get to spend as much time with my friend. Monday I have to go back to the surgeon to have fluid aspirated, for the third time. Off to the grocery store, so there is food in the house for guests. Debra M. at goal
