Good morning from NYC !!!!!!! I woke up this morning and thought to my self wow it is getting close, after 8 months of tests and more tests the time is quickly coming. June 12, 2006 is the day. I have been kinda freaking out. I know I need this I know I want to be there for my kids. But you can't help but deal with all the possiblr outcomes in your head. I don't talk to my family about them but the fears are there. The "what If's " . I know Iwill be fine I am confident but then my mind starts to drift and let the what if's blurr my vision. I just had to get that out there as I hadn't told anyone what I was thinking. But good luck to us all and lets get through this together. BK

June 14th is the day for me. I am on the liquid diet and I am getting more excited and a little scared every day. GOOD luck and my prayers are with everyone in the June Club!! We were in the thing together!!! Shannon

Hey everyone!!! I am so excited that June is here! I am so nervous and excited!!! Only 8 more days until my surgery!!! I am quite surprised that so many people have to do the whole liquid diet before surgery. I am seeing that most of the people that are doing it are having the RNY's. That must be it. I am having the DS, and the only prep I really have to do is a bowel prep the day before, with nothing to eat after breakfast except for clear liquids! Any way, I have great admiration for all who have to go through the dieting prior to surgery!!! You are amazing, and it is so worth it in the end!!! Yeah, just a few days away for everyone!!!!!! I'm a little late signing in today, but I am here. Only 4 more days until my surgery and I am sooooo ready. I am on day 11 of my liquid diet. I actually did not lose any weight the past 2 days, but have lost 16.5 in 11 days - so I'm not complaining. I started putting together a few things to take to the hospital (outfit to wear home, robe, slippers, the infamous chapstick!, etc.). What an exciting month this is going to be! Best wishes all!! Hi everyone, I do my pre-op tomorrow morning at 730a and I'm scheduled for Wed, June 7th! Very excited and ready to get this thing moving :)
