Topic: Finally, Onederland!!
The day is finally here! I got on the scale and it reads 199.5!! I am down 152.3 lbs since my first appointment with my surgeon in Feb 07.

Start weight: 289
current: 177
total loss: 112
I have gained 2 pounds this week. I am kind of disappointed, but hey, 112 pounds is almost a whole person (Kate Moss, maybe)!
I'm tooo tired to do the math tonight:
running total: a pantload!
Way to go, people! We rock!

Topic: RE: surgery date
I KNOW that you will come out of this like a champ. God will watch over you and we will be prayer warriors for you. You may have said, but what time is your surgery? Love ya, Kiddo! Deb
Topic: RE: Shopping
Thanks for the suggestions. I guess the other issue I have is I really don't have anyone to shop with.... I am new to MA.... and really don't have any close friends/family to go shopping with.
I guess I will muddle through this and hopefully get more and more comfortable with this new shopping experience.

I'm not much of a shopper.--I never have been. I tend to buy classic styles and stick with brands that fit. Currently i am wearing Target's Cherokee, Lee jeans and shorts and Old Navy Medium tops.
How about going with a friend, Mom or sister?
Topic: RE: Shopping
Add a brand at a time. That's what I've done. I'll find a brand or store who's fit (size chart) I like and just run with that for a while, and when I feel like being a paper doll I'll go into a different store and try on blouses.. I use to hate trying on clothes, well I still do but now I'm just happy that I came fit into something at a regular store besides shoes and earings..ha ha
Topic: RE: HELP! I am hungry!
I have not used this but many folks swear by the 5 day pouch test.

When I find my self grazing or at least standing in front of the fridge or cabinets to see what I can eat, I have a cup of peppermint tea and get a book. Anything to break the cycle of wanting in my head to eat. If I still do it, I have a cheese stick or a protein drink.
I've been battling depression issues myself since January. My doctor added Lamictal which has no weight side effects!! I won't know it's effectiveness for a few weeks.
Good luck to us all!
