Topic: RE: What would you have done?
Mmmm..good move!!!! I was in an apt when I first moved to VA too, but wouldn't use their little fitness center for the same reason. I like protection in numbers! The Sentara Fitness Center in Hampton is brand new and awesome!
If you go to the VA board you'll see a post from earlier this week (from Jackie H) about getting together tomorrow at Aroma's at Oyster Point City Center at 6 pm. I can't make it until about 7:30, but we may be going to Saddle Ridge for karaoke. If you want to join us, PM me or Jackie and we'll meet up.
Topic: What would you have done?
Ok so we have recently moved to VA and are temporarily in an apartment. I have been going to the little gym they have to work out a few nights a week. Usually there is no one else in there. Maybe another girl from time to time. And sometimes people walk through to get to the street. Anywho lastnight I am busting butt on the eliptical and watching one of the TVs mounted on the wall (there are also little tvs on every machine). This guy comes in about 30 minutes into my workout. He is wearing a long sleeved button down shirt, khakis, and a jacket so I assume he is just walking through. (Who works out in their work clothes?) But he doesn't leave. Instead he takes off his jacket and goes to the weights bench behind me and picks up two heavy weights and just starts swaying them back and forth. I can see him in the reflection of the tv on my machine and he is grinning at me. He doesn't look like the type that works out very often. He is small framed and kinda creepy looking. It was freaking me out so I turned around and offered him the remote to the tv. He said no thanks and continued to stand there holding the weights. Then he put them down and walked outside to the street and stood there for about a minute, and then came back in. I grabbed my crap and headed out. It just seemed too weird to me. I could see him picking up one of those weights and swinging it at my head. Am I being overly paranoid? I am thinking about joining the Y instead of going to this gym. I hate feeling paranoid like that but I would rather be safe than sorry.

Topic: been MIA - back with new pics!
Hi gang. Sorry I've been away from this group for a while...I've been wrapped up in home stuff and just haven't been visiting you all lately.
Doing well though - I'm down to 101.5 pounds and wearing a size 00...OMG! Don't freak out too much as I'm only 4' 11" tall so I'm not underweight, but I am definitely trying to slow this train down and maintain!
I posted new pics on my profile from my recent shopping excursion in Vegas...
Hope you've all been well and I'll try to post more often!

Topic: Best compliment EVER!
So I had a meeting with a case worker today for a dicussion about services for my disabled daughter, I had never met this woman before. When I arrived at the office she looked VERY familiar to me and I told her so and she agreed that I looked familiar. So we start talking about where we might know each other from. I finally said..."Maybe from the pool, I go there several times a week?" She gave me a look of disgust and swept her hand up and down her body and said... "Do you think I would appear in public in a swim suit?" I smiled that knowing smile because I know EXACTLY what she means but before I could answer her she added... "We aren't all slim like YOU!" roflmao She had no idea of all the saggy elephant skin I have tucked neatly into my clothes.....LOL
For me THAT was the ultimate compliment...

I don't write much.....HOWEVER>>>I know what all of you are saying....and that is why I never told anyone about my surgery. No one's business, and I didn't need anyone to evaluate my life by their standards. I have a wonderful family who knows everything and understands my struggle with weight all my life and they are incredibly supportive. My very close friends know of the surgery....however...no one else.
Now that I hear how you are getting all these comments... I am sure that my decision to keep things private was the best one. I agree that people are jealous. And seriously, who knows what is best for you...??? YOU DO!!!
Good luck to all of my "June Buddies" I continue to wish you the best.
On another note...anyone here ready to consider plastic surgery? I have some prices..and it is going to cost much more than I expected. Anyone have any input on this?
Thanks everyone.

I am like Judy. I want the talk too. I started a bit larger than most of you, so I don't quite have collar bones yet at 115 pounds down. I did get " I thought you would lave lost more by now, you need to exercise every day." I got over it quickly, I considered the source.

That is great news. My hubby is looking at having a lap band done. I was so excited when I heard that.
Best wishes
