Topic: POST KNEE SURGERY UPDATE
Well here I am. The surgery went well. It was a revision.. replaceing wornout parts. The surgeon said that it was so worn and lose that he could not believe that I was even walking on it,let alone without pain. They used a new kind of anasetic.. called a Femal Nerve Block. It was absoutely wonderful I never had higher than a 2 pain level and could do wonders with this knee. No Morphine drip at all!!!!! Took a couple of Oxicoutin but it made me hallusinate something terrible. When I had my last two knees..13 and 9 yeasr ago.. I was in awful pain even with the Morphine. I don't suppose being 90 ponds lighter would make a difference either LOL. Although I haven't had a chance to research but the Staff says it is a little easier with just a revision. I am useing a walker for the first time ever.. and am going to be restricted to the house for 3 weeks at least... with a PT comeing in everyother day.. and a visiting Nurse 2 times a week for a Commidin blood draw. I want to THANK YOU ALL!! for all your kind thoughts and prayers.. you couldn't possibly know HOW VERY MUCH IT MEANS TO ME. Gratefully Alice

Yes! Trader Joes has some great items. I love the Hummus and imitation crab, and I love Emergen-C..It's helped me though (I let the fizz die down first).. I've learn that turkey patties digest best for me and I've never seen so many turkey and meatless burgars in my life until I went to TJ's..lol

I think it's just a wonderful feeling when people do the double take. My own grandmother didn't recognize me. I think the best thing that I am enjoying about the weight loss is the feeling I get when I bet my son playing red light green light..lol

I have a new food I am hooked on having in my freezer. I went to Trader Joes grocery( they are a California based company popping up all over the country) and found Chile Lime Chicken Burgers. I can only eat 1/2 a burger at a time, usually dipped in FF ranch dressing.I have trouble eating eggs so these are often my breakfast. www.traderjoes.com Nutrition Stats on these burgers are: CALS: 110 Fat CALS: 30 Sodium: 270 mg Carbs: 4g Fiber: 1g PROTEIN: 15g

Topic: RE: I'm so frustrated with myself right now. . .
Hey Michelle! I'm right there with you! I've been on vacation this week, so I've been home a lot more than usual. I've caught myself grabbing a couple of chips here and there through out the day, then panicking that I'll gain all of my weight back. I've been so scared all week that I'll be one of the ones who makes goal, then regains it all. On a positive side, I get mad at myself for eating a couple of chips. A year ago, I wouldn't have gotten mad until I realized that I finished the bag! Maybe the fear is a good thing. Maybe it will help me stay on track. It will actually be easier when I'm back at work next week without all of the temptations of home constantly around me. I've been battling a 3-4 pound up and down swing for a month now. I need to start exercising regularly. I know that will help. Hang in there!! Don't beat yourself up too much. I know I have to allow myself a bite or two of a treat every once in a while or I'll feel deprived and get depressed, then want to eat the whole bag of chips. I did overdo it with some cheese dip this week...dumped a little...learned that lesson!! Hopefully it's one I won't forget too soon!!
