Topic: RE: 51 lbs on the first month, Hooray!!!
Hi Hector, CONGRATULATIONS on 51 lbs. absolutely amazing!!! I had surgery the same day you did and have lost about 30. I want to know what in the world you are doing. My Dr. let me start soft foods at about 2 weeks and now i think maybe it was way too soon b/c the weight is already slowing down. I haven't lost anything in a week. I do feel great physically but i am thinking the mental games are beginning. I feel down b/c the weight has already slowed down. So seriously I want to know your secret. Great job. Amy
Topic: Hello to everyone,just wa...
Hello to everyone, just wanted to give an update. I am three weeks post-op as of yesterday and have lost 17 pounds and one whole clothing size thus far. Haven't had too many problems other than I have slight pneumonia in both of my lower lungs-I don't feel bad so I was real surprised for the Dr. to tell me about the pneumonia. Hope everyone has a great day and look forward to hearing from some folks. Would really like to make some new friends

Topic: 51 lbs on the first month, Hooray!!!
Hi all, it has been 4 weeks since I had my surgery (7/9/03). I have lost 51 pounds and am so excited. The results were every bit what I expected. My goal for the first month was to lose 50 lbs so I met that goal. My next step is to begin eating soft foods in a couple of weeks. I have been able to exercise and my wounds have healed great on the outside. I hope that those people who are still thinking about it know how great this surgery has been for me. It has made me feel like a million bucks again and my clothes are starting to fit again. Well, talk to you all soon!!

Topic: RE: any lap banders?
Hi April,
I had Lap Band surgery on July 21, and feel amazingly well. Have been back to work a week already. I am down 27 lbs (15 of which I lost before surgery to qualify for an outpatient procedure). I feel so much better.
Topic: RE: My surgery was July 21st!
Hi Debbie,
I also had weight loss surgery on the 21st! I am so happy. I had the Lap Band surgery and live in Washington State.
Good luck on your future on the "losing" side.
Topic: 2 weeks and one day!!
I had my surgery on the 21st of July and it's now August 5th. I am back to myself and even went for a really good walk today with a friend.
My surgery went without a hitch, in at 7:30 am out at 11:00 am or so. (Outpatient Surgery, can you imagine?) I love my LapBand. I am down 27 lbs (but I had to lose 15 before surgery). I am so happy!
