july 13th is the big day

this is my first post but have been reading this board for some time now wandering if anyone else having surgery on this day i am so anxious cannot concentrate on anything but the big day nervous and scared of complications afterwards but what am i to do if anyone is feeling the same please write i dont know what i am going to do 2 more weeks at work i hope they dont fire me before

Isabel , I will be 2 days after you ..on friday.. I know how you feel I am going crazy I just want to get up and scream ..I am happy and scared in the same breath ...... Have you started your liquid diet?

Hi Isabel, I am just a week ahead of you, and do have some bouts of nervousness and anxiety. This is not like getting your tonsils out - this is a major, life-changing event! I firmly believe in positive imaging though, and keep thinking about all the wonderful things that will be happening for me as the weight comes off, and how much better I will feel. What kind of support network do you have? Does your Dr. have any type of psych services? Good luck - you are in my thoughts and prayers : ) Colleen

I am a July 13th buddy.....WELCOME I am scared of complications too, my reason is becuase of money. I'm self paying so I can't afford any complications or it could bankrupt me, not to mention the risk on my health. I'm almost more excited about have almost 3 weeks off from work. WOO HOO.

My sugery is the same day as yours. welcome to the board. I am starting to have nervous feelings today because I did not realize the day was flying by.

mine is the same day also! did you or anyone else ever think to yourself,"that had better NOT BE A FRIDAY!" i'm not that superstious,but i would've totally rescheduled if it were a fri 13th!!!! my baby was born on the 13th and she's great,talks ALOT,but she's fabulous!
