Tiff-
I am sorry that you are having problems with it! I always question what I eat.
1) 1/2 a peanut butter sandwhich is a great snack. I wouldn't worry about it.
2) Try stepping up the exercise again. It will jump start your metabolism
3) Are there any foods you don't like that your fiance does? For example, I hate anything with coconut (sweet) in it, so I don't care if the house is filled with Mounds or Almond Joy-- I won't touch them. That might make your fiance happy. I'd also make what YOU want to eat. If your fiance wants a more fatty meal, maybe he can supplement by making what he wants.
I think the advice of writing down everything you eat is a good one. Perhaps logging on to fitday might be good for a week or two.
Lots of luck, and PLEASE remember that you have already accomplished so much!

Pre-op I never used to never wear anything heavier than a quilted hoodie flannel as a coat. Now I wear my long johns in the house!
Topic: Is it too cheesy?

Make 2007 the year YOU shine.
I have a dream. I want to help make YOU successful, and independent and attain your dreams.
It's pretty simple. I am a mother of three, married for over 24 years... and possibly have the weirdest story as a CEO of a corporation you can imagine. I've worked a hundred jobs. I made pretzels in a mall, made pizza for Domino's (yum) , sold vacuum cleaners, had jobs as a clerk, as an administrative assistant, secretary, and sold life insurance (possibly the most BORING job in the world) and then got a degree when I was an older adult and worked in corporate America for years successfully before realizing this was not enough. I wanted something more and I didn't know how to attain it. I wanted REALLY to be home with my babies. I wanted to attend everything they asked me to. I wanted to be Mom BUT I wanted to be successful as well.
It's so interesting. I get emails from people everyday who write to me and tell me their life stories...People who have been laid off...People who have wanted for so long to stay at home with their children and families and just want to create an income to sustain or improve their lives.
I have for so long wanted to do something to help..... and had no idea how.
until now.
I want 2007 to be different for me and for all of the people who write in to me and ask for help. I want to tell you my story and give you access to some good life lessons and some do-able tasks... some things you can learn and take forward to succeed yourself. Because, dang, if you can't pay it forward - what's the point?
For one hour (or whatever it takes) on January 1, 2007. I am going to host a telephone seminar explaining exactly how I did it and how YOU can do it as well.
I want you to be able to call in and ask me how I did it and how it is possible to create a livable, no, a PROFITABLE income month to month . I want You to call in and talk to me live and ask me your questions live and LEARN how to create something for yourself and your family that will pay your bills every month and sustain or improve your way of life. I promise I'll tell you my secrets. No holds barred.
Here are the numbers (I know you wanna see this
1998: Income : $23,000 a year - I was working as an administrative assistant barely making ends meet. My husband and I lived in a small apartment working 2 jobs each just to pay the bills.
2006: Income: over $100,000 a year - I am doing what I love and spending about 5 hours a day working at my 3,000 + sq. foot HOME being around for my boys whenever any of them need me; attending soccer matches and football games and academic team meets whenever they occur! I am enabling myself to be creative and productive EVERY DAY!
It doesn't matter if you are a housewife or a corporate person or a welder, come join me and I will tell you the secret to succeeding and creating an independent income. I EXPECT you to come with questions and the seminar won't end until I HAVE answered every single question. I'm doing this on a leap of faith - my belief that there are many of you out there who feel dissatisfied and want something different in your life. I was there and I truly want to save you time and effort and heartache in your quest for something better for you and your family.

I have to pay for the call - sorry --- but Brainy Betty is a FREE site - it has been for years - but I have shopped around and tried to make this as cheap as possible for you! It's not much though - a fast food meal price for your family, but please do join in - you'll learn things people aren't willing to tell you out in the open - (it took me forever to learn on my own) and you will definitely benefit. If not, I'll refund your money. GUARANTEED. just email me at [email protected] and I will send it back to you immediately.
I am charging $19.99 per participant to attend. Only because I have to cover server costs and the telephone conferencing lines. BUT can I guarantee you one thing? If I do not address YOUR specific question, just email me and I will give you your money back. NO QUESTIONS asked. I think that's fair, don't you?
PLEASE, if you have lost your job, or have thought about working for yourself or creating an extra income - come attend.
You don't really have anything to lose. $20 bucks is not much and it's guaranteed. If YOU are not satisfied, I will refund you the amount, no questions asked at all. I want to help you succeed in 2007. That's my goal. And you can spend DAY 1 of 2007, the new year, LEARNING some things that will perhaps change your life as you know it today.
Take a chance.... and see what is out there and do something different to succeed.

Topic: Im so sorry!
I am feeling really guilty that I have not been here to support you all. You are all so dear to me and I am very sorry for dropping off of this board for so long. I do have a few thoughts that I'd like to share if you have time to read.
First......
I surprise myself with my choices these days. I prefer healthy foods over their fattening counterparts. I eat lots of fresh fruit and steamed veggies. And I actually PREFER thier taste. I bought a bag of lays potato chips yesterday. I ate 3 or 4 then I felt all of the grease on my fingers and felt sick to my stomach. I said to myself...."Channan! What the hell are you doing eating this crap?" So....I smooshed up the rest of the chips in the bag and threw them out. I figured that the weight I would gain and the good habits I was going to break weren't worth the 75 cents I paid for that bag.
I took my son out for dinner tonight. Pre-op I would have ordered the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and the house salad covered in blue cheese dressing. Tonight I ordered.......grilled mahi mahi, steamed veggies and a side salad with balsamic vinegar and some salt and pepper. The odd part......I WANTED these foods. I CRAVED them and the other crap no longer tempts me. It IS the little things that add up. I used to think..."one wont make a diference"...well....that's how I reached critical mass.
One DOES hurt....it turns into two...then three and before you know it, you have replaced you new healthy habits with temptation and regret...AND weight gain.
As for my weight loss......
I reached goal two weeks ago and have lost 3 more since then. I am exactly 20 lbs lighter than I was in Vegas.
I started out as a 26/28 and I'm now a 7 in juniors and a 4/6 in regular womans sizes. I went from a 3X to a Small. I really believe that the exercise was the key factor in my success.
I love you all! You are dear to me!

Tiffany for me, I know I can eat more at a time than I could early out. But I think that is normal and to be expected, so I don't stress about that. But I am terrible at eating my 3 meals and when I don't I find my self grazing in the afternoons especially. One of my bad habits has become mixed nuts. I love nuts of any kind and I will have some everyday if they are in the house. I told myself they have protein so they were ok, but they still have calories! So honestly I try not to buy them, but their so good! I'll take a salty snack over sweet anyday. Planning meals is what works for me. When I write down my meals, purchase it at the store, then, make them up (especially to take to work) and stick to that, I do best. But sometimes that is such a chore............
Hang in there, we're all in that place, or somewhere close by!
