I have a stricture.

Thanks to all that helped me thru the weekend's fiasco. As we thought, I do have a stricture and will be having endoscopy with dilation on Friday. If anyone has had it, can you please advise your procedure and how you have done? Many thanks!! ~Diana

Hi Diana, I developed a stricture at 4 weeks post-op. The procedure is an easy one, worst part for me was the IV! They put you out and it takes about a half hour. I woke up back in my room, and as soon as I was able to get up and get dressed I got to go home. You wake up very quickly too. The gas ia a bit uncomfortable, but once you pass it you'll be fine. I did have to go back two weeks later and have it stretched again, but knew what to expect. Best wishes to you. Jan
