Same here. Lost 4 last weekend only to gain it back last Tuesday. So far I've only lost 1 pound of it. I started counting my protien and realized I'm not getting my 60 so back to protein drinks for awhile, see if that helps. Changed my exercising.

If we are going to get to goal, we are going to have to tighten our belts and really get serious. I plan to increase excercise and reduce carbs. I am sure we have all noticed we can eat more and I am frustrated, but I knew the day was coming. We just need to be more accountable. This just goes to show there is no easy way out! Good luck to everyone and keep striving! We can do this!!! :tongue

1. What types of food did you eat this week? Not much different...sf/ff yogurt with a little GoLean Crunch stirred in, turkey chili, steak, sf popsicles/fudgsicles, tomatoes, etc. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Walk and Jog dvd, Sculpt and Burn dvd, weight lifting. 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? 2 pounds; total loss 98 pounds. 4. What was your biggest challenge? Making time to exercise while having a crazy week. 5. Are you eating anything you know you're not supposed to? Slivers of son's birthday cake. I know, that's not good. But it was very, very tiny, admittedly. *Fun bonus question: If we HAD to elect a celebrity president, who would you want running our country? Billy Graham! He seems like the voice of reason in a tumultuous world, though I think he's too old and sick now to actually do this, even if he wanted to!

What types of food did you eat this week? Lean pork chop with Italian seasoning and garlic powder; fat-free cottage cheese with fat-free refried beans and fresh salsa; "skinny" Chicken Florentine (boneless skinless chicken breast, bit of undiluted fat-free cream of chicken soup, tiny bit of butter, fresh spinach, garlic powder and Italian seasoning; frittatas: ham, broccoli, low-fat extra sharp cheddar; Fresh Salmon with asparagus; pork spare ribs with all fat removed, only added Schilling BBQ rub; first try of Wendy's chili--ick, nothing in it--I make mine thick with ground turkey w/fat drained, lots of kidney beans, and minimal tomatoes for a wonderful chunky chili you can actuallyl chew! For variety, tried 1/4 cup sugar-free Jello cheesecake pudding with fresh strawberry, thin slice kiwi fruit and four fresh blueberries. Veggies of choice remain fresh spinach or broccoli. Fruit of choice remains fresh strawberries, blueberries, kiwi fruit, and fresh raspberries. 2. What types of exercise did you do this week? Yoga Pilates and speed-walking with 2lb. weights. eliptical weights at the gym, water-resistant walking in my new size eight swimsuit at the pool! 3. How much weight did you lose? Total loss? -3, 93 total from 239 to 146! 4. What was your biggest challenge? Remembering to eat--still no appetite nor hunger. Foods taste good, but get no cravings nor able to eat more than 3/4 cup three times daily. 5. Are you eating anything you know you're not supposed to? No way! *Fun bonus question: If we HAD to elect a celebrity president, who would you want running our country? I agree with the Tom Hanks suggestion! Brains and brawn!

I am going to Disney World the first of April and for once in a long, long time I will not have to worry if I can fit in the ride. I am now a size 16 - down from a size 28 and feeling great! I don't have to worry about embarrassing my son because I can't fit and I'll even be able to ride in the same seat with him! YEAH!!!!! Monique D.

Hey to everyone again! I guess this is a normal thing for us all. Everything just seems so funky when we aren't losing ya know? I think I'll change things up a bit. Great advice Maryellen. I guess I need to take a step back and evaluate my habits and change a few things. Thanks! Katrina

Topic: Free Bariatric Fashion Show in NY
Hi all! Okay, I've been going back and forth with the issue whether or not to participate with the Bariatric Fashion show, but I've decided to make the commitment and go for it! I've been called many things, but never a MODEL!!!! lololololol You are all cordially invited! It's free and from what I understand it is extremely inspirational. Many different before and after pictures will be shown. There will be numerous WLS patients modeling varying stages, before WLS, just after, a few months after, etc. It will be at Good Samaritan Hosptial, West Islip, NY, in the guild conference center on Saturday, 3/24 @ 10:00 am. It is free and refreshments will be served, so mark your calendars...and bring your tissues (I understand a lot of tears were shed last year!) BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!! LOL Love, Maryellen (the MODEL, lol...omg I hope this doesn't get my head too big!!!)
