Topic: RE: Where are you size-wise?
We've lost the same amount post-op. (I didn't try to lose any weight before surgery and was not required to by my surgeon.)
This whole thread is a really good reminder for me to stop comparing my progress to others. At five months post-op I'm doing so much more than I ever imagined. I'm boxing, running, clmbing the stairs to my apartment in a jiffy and beginning to buy normal clothes off the rack.
It think it's important to focus on what you have accomplished than what you perceive as short-comings or failures.

I'm down 135 pounds, but only 65 of that's post-op--- I lost a lot of weight very quickly, so those fast initial post-op losses most people have didn't happen for me, of course.
So while I am still in 22-24s, I am also down 135 pounds, so I'll take it! Crazy how we're all so different, isn't it?

Ha! When I see that some of the other July folks are hitting the century mark, I cry foul too!! I'm working my @$$ off in the gym 3-4 days a week.
My fitness-minded friends try to remind me that while I'm losing I'm building a lot of musle underneath with my strength-training routine and that creates a leaner appearance.
But I want the scale to move too!!!

I'm on a scale-plateu, but size-wise I've come a long way.
When I had surgery I was a 24 on top and 26 in pants.
Today I'm a 14/16 or 18 in tops and a 20 in pants.
Yes, my top half is melting away faster than my legs, but still I'll take wat I can get!
Topic: Where are you size-wise?
I started this year as a 36W-38W....and am now comfortably wearing 22s.
I also started this year as a MAJOR hourglass (48H bra--65 inch hips), but am now a pear, big time (40DDD bra, no idea what size hips). I know we tend to lose from the top down, and my butt's gonna be the last one off da train!
How're you doing size-wise?

I have to guesstimate based on the scale at a friend's until I hit the real one later this week...had a bunch of IV fluids and my time of the month last week, so it's a wonder I lost anything at all!

The holiday season is pretty much over, so, it's back to the plan! For good or bad or just rationalizing, I chose to eat treats and goodies to my heart's content over Christmas. Got a little sick from too many carbs but nothing terrible. Unfortunately, I have learned that I can eat many things that aren't good for me and not dump. It is definitely going to be more challenging to stay away from them now. BUT, I am committed to making healthier food choices and to continue my wt loss. My goal is to have lost 100lbs by my 6 month check-up. I will have to REALLY work it but I think I can do it. Check-up will be around 1/10. So...sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk, protein, protein, protein! Hope all of you have had a wonderful holiday season! Jean
