DOS: 250 Today: 154 Total loss: 96 lbs - 4 more until I reached the 100 lb weight loss mark! Whoo Hooo! It was a very stressful week. My daughter-in-law's brother, whom we are very close to, was killed in a car accident and I am a HUGE stress eater, but I still lost. I really tried to pay attention to the eating, since I am well aware of my stress eating and I think I did okay. Ate some raw baby carrots last night and I wont be doing that again any time soon. I think they got stuck and I threw them all back up - it was horrible. Learned my lesson.

Kim, I'm sure you'll take it off at the zoo today There's no way you could have eaten enough calories to gain weight. Must be fluid or something like that! I never count gains at this point. Maybe after 12 to 18 months...but not now. Normally, I don't post this until Tuesday, which is my regular weigh-in day. However, I'm so excited that I actually want to post this today! Highest: 290 Surgery: 265 Today: 200 I actually lost 2 pounds in one week for a total of 90! I can so smell Onederland! Good luck to everyone...

Topic: RE: Distal vs. Proximal Bypass-- what gives?
My doctor doesn't recommend eating high protein. It's amazing to me how different the surgeons are; However, I realize how important proteins are and still consume 60 - 70 grams per day. What I added was whole grains, fresh fruit and vegetables, which in turn, upped my calories to an average of 1100 per day and helped keep me more regular.
