MS Medicaid & Medicare

Does anyone know if MS Medicaid &/or Medicare will pay on the LAP Band? I have a friend who is considering the surgery but is scared medicaid/medicare will not pay for the lap band. She is a breast cancer survivor and is wanting the lap incase she should ever have to take chemo again (nutrtional reasons). Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated!!
