HOW MUCH HAVE YOU LOST?
Hey Barb and everyone! I'm down 56 from my surgery, I also thought it'd come off faster, but my surgeon says I'm doing great and face it- I would have probably gained 56 instead of lost if I hadn't done this! I'm happier about being in a size 14 than I am being this beautiful weight, though!

Oh please don't say you're a failure. 44 lbs. is super! Are you getting depressed? Still being on purees would depress me. You're doc won't let you try soft foods, or you just can't tolerate them yet? If you can, try some mashed potatoes or refried beans. I also liked no sugar added applesauce at that stage. When your appetite picks up more, you will probably start losing more - your body may be in starvation mode. Good luck! I hope you start feeling better about your success!

We are all of us GREAT SUCCESSES! I'm a "slow" loser, down 37.5 lbs since surgery on 10/25. But hey, it's not a race; it's a lifetime commitment. I started out last June at 299 lbs, was down to 260 prior to surgery, at 222.5 now. I AM THRILLED WITH THESE RESULTS. I'm losing weight at a pace that is healthy for me, so that makes me happy. Maybe my hair won't fall out.
You've lost double what I have - you're doing fabulous! Pat yourself on the back, and treat yourself to a massage this weekend. You deserve it, Barb.
Best wishes,
Sheryl

Hi Barb,
I had my surgery on Oct 10 and I've lost 68 pounds since then. I'm on a stall right now and it's really annoying, but it's happened before and I know it will pick up soon. Congrats on your terrific loss! I know exactly how you feel about wanting it to be gone right away. We all just need to keep in mind that we never could've lost it this fast any other way.
