I haven't been online for 2 days so I couldn't say thank you to those who sent kind words to me on 2-19-05 when I posted that I'm down 80lbsand I mentioned that I sprained my ankle and they wanted to know how it happened. Are you all ready for the tell all book of how Lisa sprained her ankle. It will be on the NY Times best seller list. I sprained my ankle 11-2-05 on my way to work in Boston. I fell down 25 stairs at the train station ( South Station for us Bostonians). Not sure what was on the stairs that caused me to fall. All I know was that I fell and my ankle was swollen as big as the state of Texas and both of my legs from toes up to just past my knees were all swollen. The people at the train station were so rude. I had to literally crawl to the up escalator and to get someone to help. I saw 2 guys there and told them I just fell down the stairs, they said what do you want us to do. Hello, I want you to get me help. So finally they did, the security people had me sit down. 1 security person asked me if I wanted some ice, I said yes, she brought over to me a plastic bag with 1 ice cube in it, how generous. I then asked if there was a phone # for the person I could talk to about the incident, I got 1, I was surprised. I called from the chair and explained what happened and she took down all the information. Then I asked her about paying for me to get home. She said that I had to call the MBTA and ask them. I called them and they said I had to call SOuth Station. The excuse was that the MBTA rents the space at South Staion so no one could help. I was pissed off, all I was concerned about was how I was going to get home. Then the ambulance came 1 hr and 20 mi utes after being called, and they were next door, they claimed they never received the call until the security people had called for the 4th time, only in Boston. Then I was on my way to the ER( no George Clooney either). This part is stupidly funny. After the doctor saw me and had x-rays taken I was brought back to a pt waiting area. I was on my cell phone with the MBTA and South Station asking them to pay for me to get home as I wan't able to and the accident happened on their property. I guess someone from the nurses station overheard me saying I to the MBTA that I needed to get, home. One nurse came over and handed me 3 train tokens, to take the train home. Hello, I have a 3rd degree sprain how can I take the train home I said to her. Her response was by walking to the station. Here I was with a air cast, cane and a sprained ankle and she suggested I take the train back home.. What a dope, again only in Boston. You can tell I love my hometown. This part is even better. Then a patient liasion came in and heard me saying I had no way of getting home, she rudely said well were not paying for you to get home. I said rudely back to her, I wasn't talking to you and I didn't ask the hospital to pay for me to get home, as I continued back in forth between the MBTA and South Station about me getting home, she came back in and kept saying, the hospital isn't paying for you to get home. I finally lost it and said you g_d stupid moron, mind your f_____g business as I'm not talking to you, so mind your own business and get lost. I called her boss who works for the CEO of the hospital and told her what happened and what she said and how rude she was. Guess she must have been spoken too, as I received an apology letter the next week in the mail. I love getting ignorant people in trouble. I'm so mean. So to make a long story short. I took a cab home which cost my husband and I $68.00. I got my attorney working on it , so hopefully if I ever become either owner or President of the MBTA/South Station in Boston, al of you can ride free for life. All depends if I get anything out of it. I just want lost wages paid , the cab ride reimbursed, my PT to be paid for and something for my pain and suffering. Just think if I do get something I don't have to give my lawyer anything because I sell legal plans and ID Theft , so I get an attorney for free and no paying of fees of any kind. Speaking of Attorneys, anyone need a good lawyer or ID Theft protection you can get it for about $12.95 a month, depending on what plan you choose. Let me know. Thats all folks. Again, to those *****plied to my 2-19-05 post thank you for the kind words . Lisa J. in Mass

Wow Lisa, I will definitely see that movie when it comes out! Really though, I really hate when people just want to pass the buck. I know that there are a lot of companies out there who have been burned by people saying they got hurt and they didn't but in your case it was so obvious. A lot of these companies need people who handle not only incidents like this but also someone to do damage control and try and make it up to the customer, which is what you were. Hope you are feeling better. Loretta

That's really sad about your experience. I'm glad you got home though! It's as if nobody cares about anybody anymore. I hope you're feeling better!

Wow! That is amazing. I never would have thought anyone could be so rude and they were all rude!! I just got back from a weekend in Boston. We took the train from Maine to the North Station and then took the T everywhere. We had a great time and I told my husband I wished we could live there. After hearing your story I think I'll reconsider. I am sure you wouldn't have been treated that way in Maine.

Am I missing something here? You fell? No body made you fall? And now your sueing the bus station. I mean come on. Yes you had a terrible experience with everyone being rude to you - you had a cell phone you should have called the ambulance or called your hubby and had him do it. I'm just flabergasted that you are taking it this far to get a dime. People get hurt all the time in public places. Everybody is sue happy. Watch your step next time and maybe you won't have to go through this. It's people like you that disgust me. Ooops I fell now give me money for my pain and suffering. Maybe you could do something to better help someone who might have the same clumsy feet as you do and right to the bus station about better safety precautions and maybe become a patient liasion your self. Maybe since you've experienced it you would be good at knowing how to treat other people. Or maybe would get a taste of your own medicine when you **** someone off so to speak and they sue you! Get a life and a true calling instead of your calling being sue happy! Sally
