Just spoke with Deanne

Hey everyone! Just got off the phone with Deanne. She is just as sweet on the phone as she is in her posts here. She's doing "okay" but is still in the hospital and probably will be till sometime next week. They did a colonoscopy today along with blood tests to see if they can figure out what the blockage is and what to do about it. Looks like surgery will be in order. According to the doctor, it's not related to her WLS. She's hooked up to IV's for fluids and nutrition until they get everything working again. Turns out all those EGDs they did were all for nothing as that was NOT the problem at any point. Poor girl. I feel so bad for her having to go thru this for such a long time! What struck me though was how positive she is about it all. As she put it, "well, I can't change it" when I remarked on how perky she sounded about it all. Her outlook is fantastic and a real lesson to me on how to take things in stride - especially when you can't change them. She was in the middle of a funny story when guests came in to visit so we said goodbye. I plan to call her tomorrow to see how she's doing and will update everyone then. Susan

Thank you for the update on Deanne. I am glad that she is having such a positive attitude about all of this. Hope they get it fixed ASAP. Can't believe what she has gone through because of a bowel instruction. Tell her we love her and miss her and wish her well. Hugs, Tabby

Susan, Thanks so much for the up date on Deanne. Poor thing, after all the EGD's and the problem is some where else. Thankfully it's not related to the WLS. Positive attitudes help so much in a persons recovery process, I'm glad she's so up. Could you pm me her phone number? I'd like to call her either tomorrow or Sunday. Donna, sfy

Hi Susan...So glad that you could talk to her and let us know how she is doing. I haven't been reading posts the last few days and when I do I find this!!! If you talk to her again please let her know that I have her in my prayers and that she will be ok soon. Thanks!! Hugs Judy

Poor thing is really having a ruff time of it. I am so glad to hear that her sprits are high though. With all that she has going on she can not let this get her down. Please tell her that we all are thinking of her. If you can Terry IM me on Yahoo and give me her phone # so I can call and talk to her. I know how it can be stuck in the hospital. Does she have a laptop with her. I guess she doesn't since I haven't seen her post anything. Thanks again for the updates on her....we are so worried and concerned Lisa S.
