Weekly weigh in week of 5/21/07

Total Loss: 89 pounds
Starting BMI: 44.5
Current BMI: 29.2
It's been a bad week, father in law has been in the hospital (lung cancer), so I have been spending the nights there, making bad food choices....hospital food is NASTY.
I did several things differently last week that I feel contributed to my success. The previous week I was on vacation and did not deny myself food. I ate what I wanted within reason and of course within the constraints of my pouch size. Monday, upon returning, I kicked myself into gear with a liquid diet of only water and protein shakes all day. I drank over a gallon of water every day and ate strictly protein with no carbs for the remainder of the week. Also, I went to the gym 6 days and walked at lunch about half an hour each day. I guess the combination of everything REALLY worked! Of course I am trying it again this week to see if it is possible to repeat the success.
I go for my 6 month check up tomorrow, so we will see what the surgeon says. I know all of my labs were good. Wish me luck.
