Dr. Enoch's and his staff are absolutely the BEST! I had my surgery 5 and a half weeks ago with Dr.E. I drove 4 hours one way to see him because of the good things I had heard about him. I have to say I would go to him again in a heartbeat. If you have any questions about him or his staff you can email me and I will tell you anything you want to know about him. The decision of finding a doctor is yours but I have to say I know you would be quite pleased with Dr. E and his entire staff. His office Manager Tara is awesome!

I read this and then your profile. GREAT JOB AND CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you. I am down 83.7 lbs today and am finally in the obese category instead of super obese where I started...BMI 55 to 39.8. Long way left for me, but feeling good. Isn't it nice to be able to shop somewhere BESDIES the large lady store!!! You must have had fun shopping.

I go to Dr. Enochs and think he is wonderful...I am a nurse and have been for 37 years...and have done much research into this surgery...I have chosen Dr. Enochs and think he and his staff are professional, informed and carring.....Choosing the right surgeon for yourself is vital. ..but take your time and check out this site for comments from patients on their Dr.s...I or anyone can only give you our own opinions....but collect your data and make the decision you can live with...This is a big LIFE ALTERING decision. It is my opinion and I know I am biased..but I think Dr. Enochs is a Giant among Dr.s....I am very impressed and feel completely secure knowing that he will be doing my surgery...(if all goes well with my cardiac clearance and insurance approval.) There are several support groups that you might attend....I happen to attend a group called LOSERS.....formed by several of Dr. Enochs's patients who have already had amazing results from WLS...This group meets the last Saturday of each month at Rex Hospital this month in room 100B.....the meeting is from 2-4. There are both pre and post ops there and all of them...at least from my observation are most informative and supportive.... Dr. Enochs and Tara also attend these meetings. I am not sure of the other group's meetings, but I am sure if you would ask....someone here could help you with that information...but i encourage you to seek out these folks and hear their amazing stories. It has been so encouraging to me to know that there are so many people who care...and have been there and done that... Best wishes,,,Barbara Metcalf

I just got back my labs and they were great. I was surprised. I take no iron suppliments and only eat about 35 gms protein a day of real food. I no longer take the protein shakes. I have heard that anemias can cause all the symptoms you mention, however, Call your doctor. See what he thinks. Other things (like thyroid insufficiencies) can cause those symptoms as well. Be on the safe side and let an expert diagnose you. Hope you feel better. sunny

Ditto what Sunny said. The bottom line is call the doctor. Is it near your "time of month"? Add that to slight anemia and you could have your culprit.
