I'm sorry if you feel that I was insensitive. Its just that I know what a long, painful, ordeal it was. I went to my first step for WLS, the educational meeting, which was in August..and I was just banded yesterday. I don't need the name of your physicians, I believe that you are unhappy and morbidly obese. But you don't have alot of options right now, its time to be realistic. But thats fine. I was only trying to help. You can continue to sit around and feel sorry for yourself. My stepfather has Diabetes 2 with metabolic disorder, and his doctor gave him the same instructions. But, whatever, I see that you are an adult and you are perfectly capable of taking care of yourself, I was only offering you another solution to try and save you the nightmare i have been through. I wasnt slandering you by asking you to try exercising. I'm sorry you saw it that way. I just meant a lil exercising, like walking, so you could at least be doing a little somerthing while your waiting for your insurance issues to be worked out. The surgeon WILL insist that you lose weight before you have surgery though, I was just trying to help. Sorry

Hello. Sorry you are going through such problems. I have to say I agree with miss Beaverhausen. We can find a zillion excuses to be 'poor me' without realizing it. I know, I did that. Oh, poor me can't walk or exercize. This and that. Well we all can walk around our house even a few feet at a time, I did, 5 feet, four feet, nine feet. To the bathroom one more time. We all can walk around our yard or ten feet out to sidewalk. Twice around the living room. I was there. Darn sure I found I could do more than I thought. Even one foot more. Do you get to the fridge for food? I did. Funny how we can do that! I am not being mean just realistic. I have the same ailments as you and a few more but I got tired of belly-aching to myself and others and got off my tookus and moved. Heck, sit in your chair and exercize. There are tv shows for people in the morning who cannot get up and exercize. The lady does it all from her chair! Bet we all can get our hand to our mouth to eat. Put some energy into self-help instead of feeling hopeless and depending on others or programs to do the work for you. I totally agree with the previous post, she was not being mean. Please get well. Petunia.

I know how you feel. As I type this I look down at my keyboard and 3 strands of hair look back at me. I had my surgery Dec 5 and saw the Dr last week. He said, make sure you have at least 70 grams of protien some in my support group get about 80. At the 4 month mark your body has realized the shock to your system and it will take a while to get back to normal(what ever normal is)The nurse says at the 10 month mark things should be better. I drink 2 protien shakes also I went to GNC and bought liquid protien fruit punch and mix it with 8oz Hawiian punch light (made with splenda) 3 Tbs equals 18 gms not to bad. Also cheese sticks and beef jerkey. God bless Susan Setterstrom WI

I get in a lot of protein every day and it is not working. I just hate I'll be wearing wigs in the hot Texas heat

Susan, I went to the barber last Friday and had my hair cut off. It had started to come out at an alarming rate. I eat a lot of protein and take biotin. I keep my hair conditioned and saw it in the shower and on the floor. I wore scarves on my vacation because it had thinned so much in the back. Pretty Kash is right, it's going to be too hot to wear wigs. I'm not quite ready to debut the chrome dome at church. I'm purchasing one for vanity. I went to work this morning and my co-workers looked at me in horror. I'm getting used to being the topic of conversation...let them talk. It will grow back... Chauncine aka Cue Ball

I had the most wonderful physician you could ask for. He is taking great care of me. He cares so much for his patients and he does not have a year waiting period. I am an RMA and have been working with physicians for the last 17 years. Beside the doctor I work for he is the best!!! His name is Dr. Paul Enochs and he does his surgeries at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. He has his office right now in Louisburg and he is building one in the Raleigh area. I hope this helps you. Best wishes and you will never regret doing this for yourself!

hey , I got your email, but when I sent my reply it sent back a message saying invalid mailbox. Not sure what happened! Anyway Im sorry to hear about your high BP. I can relate. Im 20 and I have it, but not on medication, b/c i suffer from migraines I always have a dull or a Bad migraine, usually dont really "not" have a little headache. so that keeps my BP up . When I was pregnant it was up alot. I have a 7 month old and not getting as much sleep and the stress of mother hood I think adds to it!I told Will I was having surgery, He was like really, and then told me his dad had it, Ive never met his dad, But It was neat to learn how small this world is people having WLS and you not knowing it. My husband met willa few months ago, Wills a trip, he keeps us laughing! He comes over sometimes. Anyway I dont wanna keep ya. But feel free to email me anytime of call 346-2111 if you ever wanna talk or get together and get some lunch or just get out of the house! Hope you get to feeling better about the doc appt today! Ill say alittle prayer for ya! Talk to ya soon,
