Topic: Hello to everyone in my f...
Hello to everyone in my family at OH!,
My name is Teresa White, I mostly post on the mainboard but love all of you where ever you are in this Universe! First I would like to invite ya'll to join us in our What did YA'LL eat today discussion on the main board. I usually post anywhere between 7:30 and 9:00pm WV time and you can answer as late as you wish. I am the host of the thread, we talk a little about our day, our food and water intake and our exersize. We have a good time there and I don't like flaming on my thread. We are here to give and get support! And have a little fun along the way. I try to answer as many posts as possible, sometimes I dont get as far as I would like being a full time nurse, student and mom!
I invite you to please visit my profile and share in my spectacular ride on my journey to WLS success. Anyone who has already been to my profile has already seen my love and admiration for Dolly Parton who I dream of meeting someday. While you are at my profile please click the Help me Meet Dolly link and sign my petition to Oprah to help me meet Dolly. It would mean more to me than mere words could express. My petition was designed and created by none other than our Birthday patrol founder and my friend Melissa Mermaid. Thanks M!
Have a beautiful journey!!
Hugs
Teresa

Topic: What do you want at OH events?
Hi everyone -
I just was sent a great idea from Red Haired Girl and I had to thank her in front of all of you -
Here is part of the e-mail:
" She moves with the insouciance of someone who has always been 120 pounds, except when she stands up, when she looks a bit as if she's been fired from a slingshot. ("It's like, whoa-I'm used to going for the big lunge.")
This made me wonder if at your OH events do you ever do breakout sessions on movement. Not exercise. But movement. Teaching us how to move gracefully. It is something that many people never even think about. I do not see it discussed on the boards. With all of the changes ones body goes through after losing hundreds of pounds one probably does not have to stand up or sit down, walk or even gesture in the same manner as one did when heavy. One would probably be physically a little bit better abled to do it with more grace. If one knew how. Just a thought.
Red Haired
I thought that was a perfect class topic.
So here I am thinking - I am sure all of you have wonderful ideas out there - I would love to hear them - So I am asking the question -
What do YOU want to see at the ObesityHelp events?
We are looking at many things and would like your opinions to count in, as we are going to make these events bigger and better and what our members want to see, hear and do.
So the floor is open and I am listening...
This is your time to let us know - what you would like....
Thanks for taking the time to help us all grow stronger and better.
We are a family here and I need my brothers and sisters to help me with some fresh ideas.
If you would prefer to e-mail me:

Topic: RE: I stopped losing weight?
If you read my profile, you'll notice there is a gap in my posting anything between my first day home and my 3 months doctors visit. Reason? I didn't weight myself at ALL during that time. I'd spent enough time on here watching people go batty with the stalls, up, downs, etc of the scale that I decided I did NOT need that added stress in my life
I mean, really, there is little you can do the first 3 months to screw up, so why torture yourself weighing during that phase? It's much more important to LEARN to eat and function again, to get in all the vitamins, fluids, etc. Nope, scales during this time period are just the
LOL
And just so you know, I started at 425 and had ONLY lost 48 pounds by my 3 month appt...but I did go on to lose 230 total in 20 months. Take heart and be happy
Hugs, Toots
