Hey Andrea,
Lots of surgery folks up here, but not many post online. Where will you be moving to, near Anchorage or Fairbanks? I see you are at an army post. If you happen to be coming to Ft Wainwright, we have two local support groups here in Fairbanks, and they really are a great bunch. Good to hear from you!

Topic: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Do you have a sedentary youngster, or were you a sedentary youngster, who suffers from the disabling condition of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)? There is not that much known about this syndrome, other than children who have a higher level of exercise are at lower risk. Sufferers, more often women than men, are often too tired to do normal activities and feel exhausted.
If you have been diagnosed with this syndrome, or know someone who has been diagnosed, we would like to talk to you for an article in ObesityHelp Magazine. Please send an email to [email protected] and include your name, age, when you were diagnosed, what you are doing to treat the syndrome and your phone number or email address so I may contact you for further questions.

Topic: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
My name is Kelli and I live in Anchorage Alaska. I have battled with weight issues all my life. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 24. I am 35 now. I am pre-op and went to my psychiatric evaluation and it came out that I have PCOS. My counselor told me that a lot of women that come to her for counselling for this surgery have this disease. I am just curious to know if anyone else out there has this problem and how or if the weight loss surgery helped them.
