POUCH TEST - DAY 1: Roll Call
Up and at' em Pouch Testers, it's Day 1!
Heres the plan for today (and tomorrow too):
Days One & Two: Liquid Protein
The first two days are all liquids. You can have as many low-carb protein shakes as you like to satisfy hunger or cravings. In addition drink at least six 8-ounce glasses of water each day. The purpose of all liquids is to break any snacking, grazing or processed carbohydrate habits. In addition the liquids will work to cleanse your system and prepare you for the following three days. Try to reduce your caffeine intake as well, but do not stop caffeine cold turkey or you will feel sick and frustrated potentially losing the desire to continue with the pouch test.
If you notice symptoms of carbohydrate withdrawal you can eat a small piece of melon or an orange. You can also try a dose of Emergen-C which should reduce headache, dizziness or cramping from carbohydrate withdrawal.
I'm drinking my 1/2 caf cuppa coffee and have gotten 16oz of water in already. Will be having a vanilla-cinnamon protein shake for breakfast and have three protein drinks to take to work.

OK OK so i will be on here looking for some support...i have been up since 3 and I have cooked some fat yummy food for work but guess what I did not touch and i drank my decaf coffee and had an 8 oz glass of water. SO now i go to make my protein shakes for work......I can do this.....right? Thanks Steve for the encouragement!!

Maybe if, like me, you think of it as a biology experiment it will help you keep a positive mind set????
I WANT to know my pouch is there, that I do not need senseless carbs and to have fun doing it!
We can handle anything for 5 days, right?
