Sorry been MIA...and an update.

My new job is fanstastic! I've been there 7 weeks already. It's so hard to believe. So why have I kinda been MIA??? In addition to my new job, I am also still working with the digital art company online. And for the past month I've had choir practice 2-3 times a week, getting ready for Easter. With all that, my PCP informed me that I am anemic...again. My level was at 9.4 when she called me on March 18th. She now has me taking 324mg of iron three times a day, so I have increased my Vitamin C usage to 2,000mg/day and it seems to be helping with the iron absorption. Dr. Zorn and I tried to get a surgical report from Kaiser for a hernia repair that I had in 1985, but found out that medical reports are destroyed after 15-20 years. Go figure. So, I offered to have an Upper G.I. done to show that when the hernia was repaired, the surgeon didn't perform the Nissen Procedure (which I know for a fact he didn't). Once Dr. Zorn the the Upper G.I report, then we can set the surgery date. I am aiming for May 14th. Why?? May 10th is our 22nd anniversary and May 11th ends my 3 month probation at work. So with me luck! Sorry for the book...lol

Hi Kat!! I'm so glad you love the new job!!! That is great to hear! Sorry about the anemia, but hopefully this will get it under control. Have you had the Upper GI yet? I'm waiting on Zorn myself right now trying to figure out my hernia repair and what has to be done to prepare for it because of my strokes. Zorn and my neurologist keeping playing phone tag while I try to wait patiently!!! Hey maybe we can have surgery the same day. Zorn can do your RNY and my hernia repair and call it a day!!! I'm going on a cruise on April 24 so now it has to be in May. I'm hoping the alien *****es cooperate and agree to that though!! They have been giving me fits lately! Hi Becky! I spoke to Kaiser yesterday and my Upper G.I. is scheduled for April 4th at 9am. It'll take about a week for the results to come back, then we can set up the surgery date. Hope you get the hernias done soon. Maybe we can get Dr. Zorn to agree to do both of ours at the same time. That would be a hoot! lol Take care girl and have fun on your cruise.

Okay chickie doo....I was seriously going to ask what was going on, but thought no news was good news really However you have some good news! At least about the hernia operation and hopefully you are going to be just a little over a month away from sitting pretty on the losing bench! May 14th is a good day...it is Jeff's and my 25th wedding anniversary! So I would say it will be you lucky day then!

Hi my !!! Well, since that's yours and Jeff's anniversary you won't be able to be in San Diego with me. We'll have to exchange cell numbers so Matthew or my mom can let you know how everything went. I miss you and everyone else on the boards, but life is starting to slow down a bit. I am stepping away from the choir for a while until my iron levels come back up. I am just too exhausted to make it to rehearsal 2-3 times a week. I'm gonna PM you my cell number, so be on the look out for it. =)
