OMG - IEL's I'm SO sorry!

To all the IE Loser's headed for the support meeting this morning it has been cancelled for reasons beyond our control!    Darrell just called me from St. Bernadine's to say they took all the meeting rooms for an orthipedic conference and we have no place to hold the meeting this morning!     You all have my appologies for making the trek out this morning in vain. I am SO very sorry. On the other hand we have been wondering all along if and when this might happen and now it has. As a matter of fact we had decided to change the meeting place to my and Darrells home starting with next month's meeting and Lu was going to announce that this morning. Luana and I would like to give everyone a heads up that starting with the May support meeting we will be returning to where it all began... my and Darrell's home!

We just figure since we don't have like 50 people attending there is plenty of room and it will be a friendlier, warmer, less formal environment to share and support each other in. Not to mention we can more easily have refreshments and just be more comfortable here.

So we are looking forward to hosting the meetings ongoing starting in May!

Steve and Darrell Funny thing is this meeting is our one year anniversary too and was going to be a great meeting! Again, I am sorry and rest assured this will never happen again!

OMG could have they at least notified you that this was going to happen? DORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sherrise and I stopped at Home Depo so right off of HighLand. Thats where we were when D called, and we had just gotten off the freeway from your call. OMG!! What a bad place to stop. Scary for sure! So why we were there, we tasted the protien pudding and jello. The pudding was great, the jello well.....Lets me just say she took the pudding and I "filed" the jello. LOL.  I should have left it there in the parking lot for all the "nice" people wondering around. Gosh, at the stop sign, Sherrise was "are you sure the doors are locked" LOL

Like Steve, I am so sorry about the late to NO notice that things where canceled. Steve was worried this might happen, and we just talked about changing the location. I guess its a good thing that Steve and Darrell are able to open there house up to us. Now we have no worries.

I miss everyone and can't wait to see everyone next month for sure.

OMG....and I got out of bed for NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!  (JK)  you know that.  I can't believe that they did that, but you know it was going to happen sooner or later.  We had fun going to coffee with scrappergirl and, oh gosh, now I forgot her name, but she just had surgery.  Of course being with D is always a kick and we had fun. I have to tell you that we will not be there next month, dang it, it's my 8th grade graduation reunion.  I know strange, but we were the very first graduating class in the school that started in kindergarden and went through the 8th grade.  It should be alot of fun, the City of Monterey Park is going to honor our class, we will be in a parade in 50 attire...OMG, eat at the grade school, tour our old homes, and dinner at an old hang out in Pasadena.  So we will miss it.  But count on me for June.   Take good care of yourself Steve, and YES Lu, you did get off at a bad place.  Did you have a gun with you? Oh, PULeeze....... a GUN?     You two really are the snobs (or else total wussies) now aren't you? D and I have shopped at that Home Depot for 15 years and I've never seen anything in all those HUNDREDS of visits that made us feel uncomfortable or insecure.  Come on now girls... that is so NOT a "scary" neighborhood! Gee, what was/is it? The day laborers hanging out?  The fact that the number of white faces isn't 90%?  That the area isn't pristine new? What? Maybe all y'all need to live at Disneyland or something if this area frightens ya!            I find it amusing that people have such a different perspective on San Bernardino, with all it's colorful ambiance, than I do and see it to be a place that makes them feel uncomfortable. I love this town. Such character and history! But to each his own I say, we see things through our own eyes and experience, and I am sorry you had a negative experience today Lu!.

I am paranoid just from my job alone, remember what I had for a job for 20 yrs?  I have been there before too.  Muscoy is alot worse than that area is.  Of course I would think so because that is where a bullet went through the back seat of my car.  There is no where safe, heck there was a stabbing at the Mervyns near me, and the Walmart near me, is where someone killed a security guard! I am so sorry for this and I know I don't have any control of this but partly feel responsible because I am not there to crack the whip. Love you guys and I am so sorry that happened. ~Jaime
