Good Morning Calif

Morning... Just trying to wake up enough to get the van loaded up and on the road to San Diego.  Wish me luck people.  This drive is no fun when you are by yourself....let alone with 3 kids and 2 dogs. Oye! However~looking SO forward to getting down there and letting my parents pamper myself and the kids.  PLUS...and this is a BIG one....I can just escape for a few hours at a time to get away from my beautiful babies.  Last night, I was waaaay short with my youngest one because I can just taste the "freedom" of having not to worry about them for two weeks because I know they will be in good hands if I want to take off.  Of course, mother's guilt made me feel like **** for getting short with him.......BUT~ it gets REALLY hard when you are the only one that they will come to for anything.  My oldest tries, but because she is their sister, half the time they wont allow her to help and they want MOMMY.  ugh.   Oh and of course, I get to see some of my best girls!!! Totally looking forward to tomorrow night and a few other dates thrown in there during our time down.  Hope everyone has a great day!  I dont know what kind of internet connection I will have down there, so I may not visit much.... Good Morning LU and Cali crew!! TGIF is right I have a bsy weekend planned ahead but its going to be so much fun ,,, just 8 hours away ,, and then I'm free Yipee!!! I want the weather to warm up again for the weekend I'm wearing a jacket since it so cold right now ,,, Have a great weekend everyone be safe and have fun ,,, *Christine*  

Good Morning Cali Crew, Well, my date did not happen last night.  He didn't even call.  I ended up calling him when I got off work.  He told me that he did not have any $ because he had to pay his overdue light bill.  Fine, handle your business.  But at least have the decency to call and cancel.  I had a suspicion that it wasn't going to happen because I never received a confirmation from him telling me when and where to meet him in Santa Monica.  I don't like not knowing where I am going to be at.  I did not like the fact that I had to call him, that he did not call me and that he said, "Oh I was just sitting here thinking 'I hope she is not on her way to Santa Monica'".  He had the nerve to make arrangements for another date!  He didn't even apologize.  I told him that had I went out there and he did not show up, we would have had a different conversation.  I had to make myself happy again, so I went to Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse to look at shoes.  While I was there, I called him back to tell him how I felt.  He finally apologized.  I told him that I am the type of woman who gives a lot but I also expects a lot too.  I expect courtesy and consideration.  What he did (or did not do) was unacceptible behavior.  A phone call ,to cancel ,only takes 60 seconds.  When I was running late for our first date, I called him to let him know that I would be about 10 mins. late because I had just missed the train.  Seemed like he would have learned something from that experience.  Well, the jury is still out on this guy.  I am talking to different ones, trying to see what I like in a man and see what is out there generally speaking. As for the weekend, I will be going south of the border tomorrow.  Sunday, I plan on doing my long run and then church.  I hope everyone has a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend. Kim

Good Morning Lu and the Cali crew,  Congrats on the 3 day weekend.  I will be having one of those next weekend.   Steve,  I am so sorry to hear about your brother,  I will keep him and your family in my prayers.   Not much planned for the weekend.  I am meeting the LB crew for coffee, and spending a little time with my brother and his kids.  His father-in-law passed away on Monday and his wife is in England for the funeral.   Jean, I thought I was the only one that hasn't seen Sex and the City yet. LOL  I am going to see it too this weekend.  See you tomorrow at coffee. Linda
