Good Sunday Morning Cali!!!

It is hard to be bright and chipper this morning after reading the post about Steve's brother. I am not trying to be a bummer, but gang please read Lu's post and sign Steve's support page. Bob and the family need all the prayers that you can all mustard up.

On a positive note.....or not so positive...my son decided not to go to Victorville yesterday and I did not have Ava....he let me know at the last moment and it was too late to make it to SD.

I really wish I could have met you Vicki and the rest of the gang. Someday for sure! I know you all had a good time and surely in bed nursing your wicked ways!  

So my new friend Elieen calls and asked me to go to the call for Deal or No Deal at Fantasy Springs....we pile down there...go to the call...I even did it, but did not want to....but the good news is.....she got on the show and goes for a taping today in Palm Springs at Hotel Zoso. I am going as her support along with a couple of her family members. So when the show tapes, you will see me in the audience too!!! I am so happy for her because she is such a good person!

I wound up having a good day in spite of plans being altered. I figured I could have gone around all day angry or I could have just had a good time. Jeff and I later went to her house and had finger food dinner and sang kareoke and I am the worst, but still had fun. We all laughed a lot!

This morning we are going to get on our motorcycles and go have breakfast with them. Elieen husband rides too, but she is not going to get on motorcycle as her niece and her family are here and she will drive them. It ought to be fun!

Gonna be a long day with breakfast, taping and then I have company coming too....YIKES!!! TOOOOOOO busy, but I like having fun!

What are your plans for the day? Is it like hot and humid where you live too? OMG it is the worst out here that is why we are going out early!!! So lets hear it for you day!!!!

Good morning Janine and Cali!

Continued prayers for Steve and Bob and family.

I am totally jealous and want to go for a ride. I sold my motorcycle when I was pregnant with Sammi and Sam's truck blew up. We haven't had the means to replace it yet. I miss riding terribly.

Yesterday we had a BBQ in the afternoon and the weather was absolutely perfect. We had a lot of fun. Sounds like you had an eventful day for sure.

Oh - The firefighters are working extremely hard up by my Dad and that fire is now 65% contained. Some of evacuation orders have been lifted, some downgraded to precautionary, and so far he is safe. I am so greatful for all the thoughts and prayers that were sent that way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Good Morning Janine and the rest of Cali,

Had a busy day yesterday.  After, Phillip and I got back from Pasadena Chuck he and I took him to his favorite restaurant for lunch it was soo good.  I had a meatball and was stuffed.  He had an incredible seafood pasta.  I snuck some scallops from his plate.  We bought this cheap crappy bike at a yard sale for 8 buck yesteday as Phillip wants a bike.  Chuck or I will not let him ride ours.  So here we find this bike and took to bike shop.  It turns out to be a really good steel european bike.  So I will put some money into it for him  he has birthday in 2 weeks. 

Last night some friends came for dinner and we had drinks and hung out in the jaccuzi.  I haven't seen Theresa and Les they have been busy and so we have not hung out.  We sat in Jaccuzi and watched lighting in the far far distance.  Then it started to rain really hard but it was warm so we all stayed in.  Then we heard the thunder boomers and got out we say on the patio in the occasional rain.  It was so nice and relaxing.

So Ihope everyone keeps Steve and his family in their thoughts and prayers.  Please be sure to sign his support page.  

Hey it is sure hot out there and do to get hotter again.  So be sure to get in your water.  Hydration is so important and I can't stress it enough.  So drink drink drink.  Remember also that drinking caffeine ( tea, coffee, coke)  can also cause dehydration.  Caffeine is a diuretic ( makes you pee)  Ok off my soap box

Well I am under strict orders not to do ANYTHING as I am healing from my first round of plastic surgery.  I HATE sitting on my butt but I guess I have to.  I am taking less pain meds thus far today so I am going to take it easy just so I dont hurt.  (I hate the way pain meds make me feel)

I will also be working on my homework for my Master's degree and napping... so long long day in store  for me...lol.  Plus gonna try to stay cool and unsticky here in Hemet.

I am keeping Bob and Steve in my prayers as well.  My heart goes out to the whole family in this difficult time.

How fun Janine, Deal or no Deal!!!  hehehehe  I have that game on my cell phone.  I play when I am bored!  You will have to let us know when it aires on TV.  What a hoot!

Today is Tommy and I day.  Grandpa went golfing.  I am going to have to drag him to Costco with me.... I know it's not the funnest place for an 8 year old boy.  I'm having a hard time with both of his parents shuffling him around here and there while they are out trying to get their lives in order.  Which has not happened yet in his 8 years of life!  I think Dad finally got an apartment this weekend (he was in a hotel) and my daughter just moved into a house but her life style is not anything I would want to bring up a child in.  I worry if she gets arrested again, then what.  Tommy is getting old enough where he is seeing and realizing things.  I want to take Guardianship of him so bad but i am having a problem with affording/paying for childcare.  Well, my DH thinks the parents ought to pay for it, and you know how far that goes....

At least I have him at night and on the weekends so I know he gets fed, & bathed properly, but my daughter says that now she has a house (with no furniture or ho****er) he will just stay with her.  I tried talking with her but it just ends up in an argument.

Sorry for the rant. I am just venting.........I just love him so much, and it breaks my heart.  Ugh!!!!

ok, enough of that stuff!!!  I hope that whatever you all are doing today that it will be a great, great day!

Kudos to you, Jeni, for helping out with your grandson... I'm so sorry you have to have this struggle, but SO GLAD for loving grandparents like you...

Mornin folks!

Just a quick check in for me this morning as I have a TON of work to do around the house today!

Chris and I have decided to think about (yes, decided to think about it! LOL) moving back up north towards San Francisco. That is where I was living when we met and we were up visiting with some friends on the peninsula for our vacation a couple weeks ago and just loved it, and we were looking at job postings and jobs in my industry pay WAY better up there, so much more than here that it totally offsets the slightly higher cost of living. So...that said, I am working on getting the house cleaned up and cleaned out and ready to be packed up, just incase, in my spare time.

I also start a new contract tomorrow morning (finally back to work!!!!) it's just 3 days or so of work but if they like me they will be offering me a full time position, as they just fired their database admin, so this is basically a working interview for me....so, I need to get ready to go back to work too!

Anyhow...better get a move on!

Good morning Cali Crew!

Just thought I would stop in and say hello!  I want Steve to know that I am keeping him and Brother Bob in my thoughts and prayers.  Steve I hope you know that everyone here on Cali OH are thinking about you in your time of uncertainty!  I hope today brings better news.

As for me, I am preparing for surgery!  I am on day 4 of my pre-op diet and have to say it has been A LOT easier than I had anticipated!  Protien shakes and clear liquids!  I have everything I THINK I need post op and now I am just waiting for Thursday! I work Monday and Tuesday and I am very busy those two days so I know that Thursday will be here before I know it. I off Wednesday and plan on pampering myself with a mani/pedi, than I will be stuck on the toilet for the rest of the day!  Have to drink what I call the "poo poo" drink!

I am getting very excited!
