I am new
Kim
I just feel I need a new beginning - something to look forward to. And I truely want to lose this weight and be healthy. Sometimes when I look at the big picture it seems so overwhelming. And I am not patient when it comes to weight loss.
I will have to start taking baby steps.
I have to dust myself off and start again to eat right and excercise.
I haven't felt well for two months. I thought it was the coffee. I went to see my doctor (he was so happy to see me - it's been six months)
My doctor just perscribed a new diabetic medication since the one I have been on for 13 years was making me ill (funny how your body will suddenly decide it doesn't like something) . Hopefully, this will make me feel better so I have more energy. Next check up is in August. He wants to keep a close watch on me. Funny thing is I really like this doctor - first one in a long time that I feel really cares. So I don't want to disappoint him.
Oh well, I getting long winded. Thanks for listening.
Hi! I actually joined this forum 6 months before my surgery (and even before I knew if I was going to HAVE surgery) for info. Let me tell you...by the time surgery came, I was so informed and felt prepared every step of the way. Ask plenty of questions, and don't be intimidated if you post something that causes many messages back to you telling you what to do. This is primarily a great group of people and I couldn't have gotten thru the pre and post-surgery stuff without them.
HOwever, you need to do what you feel is right for YOU. No one on this website, including myself, knows you better than you know you. After surgery, going thru the most difficult part of it, I got lots of advice, and some that even made me feel discouraged or bad that I was doing something wrong. For every one of those, there's someone there willing to reach out and tell you it's OK - you may not always be able to follow textbook doctor's advice. The important thing is to make the choices that are best for YOU.
