Good TGIF Morning Gang

Happy Friday California!  I'm going to be doing my best to start posting more often.

My son has made it through detox and he'll be getting out of the hospital next Tuesday.  We've lined up a Sober Living place for him where they'll give him a safe and sober environment, drug test him, have meetings, etc.  We put a small fortune into getting his truck back in good running order, got brakes, tires, smog............just trying to give him a good fresh start.  The gentleman in charge of the Sober LIving place will also help him get a job.  I'm trying so hard to relax about all this, but my stomach is in knots most of the time.

I think we may attempt to get away this weekend just to have a little peace.  Next week is my youngest son's birthday (Tuesday, of course) so it'll be crazy with getting the oldest settled and a party for the youngest.  Then Wednesday is Harley's birthday.  I bought him a mountain bike  and he's already riding it all over the place.  Mine is on order.  So I think we'll go buy a Wilderness Pass today so we'll be ready for some long bike rides when my bike gets in.  We've also got to order a birthday cake today. 

I just keep hoping life will settle down and I can relax a little before school starts at the end of August.  I think I'm dreaming though

Not much planned for me this weekend. Seeing Journey to the Center of the Earth tonight with Tara (even though I have fears about her jumpiness with it being 3D, she is sooooo easy to scare! lol) Hopefully getting my car back, AGAIN, tomorrow!!!!

Hey all.   I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I've just been logging some serious windshield time!  I just got back from Vallejo and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (used to be Marine World) where we had our Board Meeting.  We started off with getting to know the dolphins.  We got to get down eyeball to eyeball with them.  And the Walrus.  And a private tour of the park.  It was way cool but we did have to get down to business.  Around 3 we finished up and it was time to play.  I played for a while, wandered, had a couple bottles of water, and then boogied out of there.  It was totally so awsome to NOT be searching for a smoking section to partake of an ugly nasty habit!  Wow of a different kind for me.  Monday is 6 months of No Smoking and the day they send my file up to the doc's office and I begin the final round!!!!  Waiting up for hubby to get home - he's working nights and I haven't seen him  for a whole week were one of us wasn't sleeping!  TTFN
