Happy Thursday Morning Everyone

Good Thursday Morning all.  I have already been asleep, now I am awake and washing a pair of Dougs pants.  He was gone on a fire investigation, fell through the floor, he is ok, but his pants were badly dirty, so I sit hear listening to the washer, waiting for it to be DONE!

We have had several people in surgery the last few days, I hope everyone got to go by and sign their support pages.  Those of you that are having plastics done now, I want you to know how JEALOUS I am!!!  But I will be doing mine soon enough, right now, my shoulder is next on my list of surgeries to have, not because I want to but because I have to.  So I am on for next Tues for that one.  I cannot believe that the very next day I start physical therapy.  I am suspecting it is going to hurt like hell, thank heavens for pain patches.  Dougie has taken off a couple of days to see me through this all. 

It was so nice to see so many people respond to my last morning post on our favorite TV shows.  Now my new friend is Jodi, OMG she loves NASCAR as much as me!  I don't know if you all know this, but my 60th birthday is in 6 months, and I have started a list of everything I want to do in my 60th year.  One of them is to drive a NASCAR around the California, of whatever the name is now, speedway.  I used to have a certificate to do that, but I knew back then, that my big ol buttola would not get through the drivers window, but nowwwww it's a different story,  I can't wait to do that, 3 laps around the track at 180 mph with my hair on fire (not literally), well the 180,yes, but I don't want my hair on fire.

Ok, enough jabber.  For those of you that work, ONE MORE DAY and it's FRIDAY!!! Whooohooo.  For those of us that don't work, it's another day of shopping and errands. 

Everyone have a great day.  Nice sunshine, warmer weather, and smog.  Of course if we didn't have smog we could not be able to see what we are breathing.

Driving around the speedway sounds like a great birthday gift to yourself!  Get photos. :-)

I'm headed for Petaluma today to see the foot doctor.  4 hours of driving so I'll be pooped adn might not get on once I get back.

The way folks are losing, there's still plenty of room on the bench for all you new comers!  You'll find a sports bottle of protein under your seat.

Hey Diane...hope Dougie is not hurting for falling through the floor...that is scary!

You are going to do fine with the rotator cuff surgery....and it is the best even though not pleasant getting through PT right away. I am telling you I have heard that people who have their shoulders fixed say that that shoulder is in much better shape than the one that was not operated on. You will definitely feel the difference when you are through the pain of having the surgery. If you need anything let me know. I am a good recovery sitter!

Speaking of recovery....I went and recovery sat with Kim aka MadameButterfly. She is looking so much better than when I saw her the last time. She still has her drains in without the bulbs on them. Has minimal drainage. Dr. Q said she was about a week behind in recovery from having a bad reaction to pain meds and she is also on another round of antibiotics. Kim's swelling has gone down considerably. She has compression hose on to keep the swelling down in her legs and helps with the cramps in her legs for lack of activity. I told her yesterday that she needs to get up and do some walking pretty soon. The doc did clear her for no blood clots if you are all wondering. Oh and get this...doc told her she needs to get some weight on. So Kim Miss Disciplined is EATING for a change! YAY....I know she is digging on eating....she is going to be one of those people who has to really watch her caloric intake to maintain her weight! I am sure pretty soon she is going to be posting!

For those who have asked....I have seemed to circumvent a cold with Zicam....I just wish I could get my back and hip in order. Yesterday, I popped the siatica...again and I am just miserable. I want to try and at least make the day tripper thing ot SilverLake, but I am not sure how I will be able to make the drive. Thanks to those who asked! I am excited today at least I am going to the eye doc to get new collegen plugs for my tear ducks....YAY!!!

Good Morning Calif....

D...I hope we are able to see each other this weekend, so I can give you that stuff for your dad.

Not much to tell ya all about. Yesterday, I shampoo'd the carpet and now my house smells all fu fu'd. The carpet looks good I am very proud of how it looks. Of course my arm in killing me this morning. OMG! I almost spilled my coffee. LOL (thanks gosh I didn't)

The day before I gave Fresser a bath, WOW did she get all wound up. It was soooo funny. I keep her shaved short, so it take only about 10 minutes for her to dry. But that whole time she is running around like a wound up toy gone crazy. LOL To Funny! KC hid from me for like two hours, thinking she was next. You know for a cat she really does hate water. LOL Poor thing! I did take her out side and comb her for a good 20 minutes and she could use more. But she look better.

OK time to jump start my morning with a shower. I wish you all a great day.

Good Morning Diane and Cali Friends.
i went to my doc appointment yesterday and had a physical.  Her and I talked about a half hour about the WLS and the Insurance.  she will call them today and try to fight for me.
If that doesn't work then she will send me to a program on Nutrition and Physical Therapy.  she said the object is not really to lose weight but to learn.  So it all is really going to come down to the Almighty $.
I don't know how the Insurance Company is going to cover all of that....and I don't want to put any more financial strain on my husband.
He is so worried about the economy and what it is doing to our home value etc....

Glad to hear Dougie didn't get injured in that fall.

I, on the other hand, was snoozing away in my bed at that time and didn't wake up until after 6:30. Nice night's sleep with no disturbing dreams that I recall. Have been having odd dreams lately but the last couple of nights have been fine.

I want to go if I can when you do the Speedway run. What fun! You will slip right in that car these days D!

D and I have chores, yard work and a couple of errands to get done. Hopefully it won't be TOO hot and humid today. It's very pleasent this morning so I am hopeful.

good morning cali crew i'm very excited my surgery is on monday the 28th ....... i've got my stock-broth made and frozen for easy usage,,, i just wish my bf was more supportive.. anyone else have that prob??  well i'm just gonna try to keep busy today burn off this protien energy..... have a great day everyone....

Hey Lisa:

You'll be on my thought list for Monday, what time is your surgery, I got the late 3:15 one....  My husband is somewhat supportive but has already made the statement oh your gonna just leave me when you get skinny.  I told him after 35 years I don't want the job of looking for someone else thank you....  Also since I told him I won't cook while I'm on the liquid diet, he's cranky.  It won't hurt him to fix his own, although he has to tell me exactly how it tasted and the details about it.  Shut up why don't you.  I just ignore it.

I'm gonna have my peppermint tea now before I get ready to see my surgeon.  Have a great day.
