San Jose/SF area???

Anyone in the San Jose/SF area? Chris and I will be moving up there in a month or two and I am going to need a new PCP AND surgeon to go to....any recommendations?

Also, I will be in Sunnyvale from Aug 8 to Aug 17th, let's get together!!

Well, you know I'm in San Jose.  I have some suggestions for PCP and surgeon, out of Mountain View (Camino Medical Center).  My husband really likes his PCP, who is with the Independent Physicians Association in San Jose - in other words, a bunch of indies that banded together to pass as an HMO.  I'd love to meet you in person.  You already have my email address and phone number, so just give me a holler. -- Carol

Chris and I are aiming for sometime between Sept 1 and Oct 1 to move...but if one of us gets a good job offer before then we will be adjusting our schedule.

I will be there in a few weeks anyway, and I would love to meet you! I may just have Callie hang onto the clothes til then, since I am staying with her that week anyway, LOL

I used Palo Alto Medical Foundation for all my non-WLS stuff. They have a bariatric department too but they only do RnY so I had to go out of group.

I love my PCP! I also love that you can pick between a Family Doctor who sees your whole familiy or a doctor who only sees adults.

They have offices all over. Their Fremont office is 5 min. from my house and the Palo Alto office is 10 min. from my work.

I think both Camino and PAMF are owned by Sutter Health so maybe one day they'll be the same place.

OMG!!!  Well, I guess I would be correct to say that you won't be at to many support group meetings at Methodist hostpital.  I wish you and Chris the best...Me and my husband are from San Jose.  We grew up there.  I love it ther, but work for my husband brought us down here.  We thought we would live here for about 5years, and it has been 22years...how times flys.  My bother's are still up there and all of my husbands family.  Make sure you PM me when ever you're in town and we'll see if we can get together.

My PCP was in SF so it would be a bit of a hike for you. However, my surgeon is in Burlingame which wasn't too far, so I would recommend checking in with him. He is affiliated with Mills Penninsula hospital, which I couldn't recommend more!
