RIP: Gary Viscio

If any of you have been on the Insurance boards looking for advice on getting approval for WLS, you have undoubtedly come in contact with Gary Viscio.

In addition to being a sucessful WLS patient, he was an attorney who helped others in their fight against health insurance companies to be approved for WLS

His passing was mentioned on the insurance message board yesterday and the details of his death are not clear but I wanted pass on the word....he helped so many people as advocate for those struggling with obesity.

The OH community has truly experienced a significant loss with Gary's passing.

Monica, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. From what you said, it sounds like he was pretty well-known here on OH. I'm sure he will be sorely missed!

Wow that really sucks to hear about the passing of Gary. I know that he was a powerhouse to the community and really helped a lot of people. In fact, I was told at one time to use him by Monica Ganz. She was really a strong supporter of him. Thanks for informing us Monica!
