Question about Protein Bullets

P.S. Higa has you off vitamins for the first three weeks. I started taking the children's chewables from Costco (the Kirkland brand) a couple months before surgery and I still take them. They are made in an adult dosage, so you only have to take one a day and they are yummy. And they are cheap - I think about $9 or so for a bottle of 300. I bought them in late January or early February and I am still working through the bottle. That is a good deal, I think!

Check out WalMart 19.98 each for the 27 gram bullets. remeber whatever you decide to use you can only absorb about 26-30 grams at a time. so if you go with the 42s split in half and seperate by a couple of hours

I went and got four of the 42s so I could try the different flavors - everyone has told me to split those, so I will definitely do that. I don't want to waste protein that my body can't use. I'm assuming when you say $19.98, you mean for a box of the 27s? Not "each," right?

I drink the one linked above. About $35 for 12. Called proslam45. The lemon lime is my favorite.  free shipping. I have seen they whey bullets at vitamin shoppe but haven't tried them yet.

It isn't my only source of protein. I know we need to get protein from different sources.

Which protein bullets can you get at Walmart? 1.98 is a good price, comparatively.

Google"Protica" on line  and then you get to choose between 25 gm and 50 gm protein shooters.  Each is three ounces of fluid.  If you type in "PR15" in the coupon code box, you get 15 percent off your order every time.  While the 25 gm shooters go down nice and easy, the 50 gm shooters are thicker -- more viscous -- than their 25 gm counterpart, but I start the day off with a 50 gm Protica protein shooter and follow it with 20 ounces of water (drinking incrementally) before I have my morning cofffee.

I usually buy one case of 25 gm protein and one case of 50 gm shooters.  After working out, popping a shooter will give you energy and help with the muscle building process.  Thery come in a variety of flavors, but my favorite is berry melon.  Two cases, plus shipping, costs about $123.  When you figure out the cost savingsin food you can no longer eat, it works out financially.  Plus, you can take them with you.  Feeling low?  A 25 gm shot of protein will give you the boost you need, all the while helping to burn/keep the fat off.

Good luck!
