Exercise!

I have been exercising by spending about an hour 5 days a week on the treadmill and/or excercise bike and 3 days a week using weights for my arms and shoulders.  I thought I was doing so good and getting fit.  HA!  Prove me wrong!

I just spent 7.5 hours deeeeeep cleaning my house.  Let me tell you, I think I need to step up the excercise - I have muscles barking at me that I now know I have been neglecting.

LOL.  I guess that is why my surgeon told me "no housework" for the next 4-6 weeks post op.  oh Darn!  My daughter wasn't too happy with those orders.

wanna get some more exercise and come help me clean mine? I wouldn't mind!!! LOL

You know if you don't use all the muscles in your body, your body is going to scream out loud when you do use ones that you are not use to using. Start switching up your routine and work other muscles...it super really does pay off! And good on you doing all the exercise you are doing Maureen!!!! Bounce Bounce

Way to go in feeling those muscles.  I haven't exercised in about a month.  These are only excuses but I had a lot on my plate.  But yesterday I came to the conclusion of something that I want to do next yearr and now its time to get my arse in gear.  I want to do the womens sprint triathalon in Las Vegas. It is a mile swim that will be my weak event.  So I will now incorporate swimming into my regime.  I will swim 2 days a week at the open lap night at the pool down the street from my house and ride and also do some running.  So hopefully by next  May I will be ready.  I got up really early out the door by 630 or 645 and went on a 13 mile ride in the hills.  I rode from my house here in east Palmdale to Littlerock Dam.  I thought my lungs would blow up at one point but I did it and it got easy.  I will do the hills cuz it will make me faster on the flats and when I run.  Doing hills makes you faster on the flats.  I know there are few of my running buddies say I am crazy.  I know our very own Scott B thinks I am nuts for the hills probably as I would be the only one who would cheer when we ran the hill in Griffith Park.

Well, I am hungry I burned 941 calories on my ride this morning.

Liz you will be proud of me....I took the dogs for a brisk 3 mile walk this morning and then came home and did my eliptical....did 305 calories and over 4,000 steps in 28 minutes! Yeeeehawwww....I am getting back in the exercise seat after missing it for so long!

And you never cease to amaze me gf!

Off to being a pool pig/painter today!
