I really need help trying to find a doctor in Northern California who does the extended rny. I have blueshield netvalue for State employees. Any help would be appreciated.

when you say "extended" rny are you meaning distal? most do the proximal as distal means more maintenance required.

DS on 10/15/10

The extended rny is closer to having the ds. They bypass more intestine than the distal and leave you with a common channel of 50 to 100 cm.

Have you looked at LapSF? They seem to do everything. I would also look at anyone who did the DS one the theory that if they can do that, they can do anything.

LapSF, Dr. Husted and Dr. Rabkin all do the DS so I'd start with them.
