Seeking Dr. Rabkin in San Francisco patients for their experience with him

Like the topic says, I'm new here. I'm looking in to getting WLS. Was going to get the RNY, but now really thinking about the DS instead. I was recommended to Dr. Rabkin in San Francisco, by another OH member on the home forum. I weigh 500lbs as of 08-09-08. BMI 78.3! I've been told he can do lap DS on a 500lb person. Is there anyone on here that has had the lap DS by Dr. Rabkin? If you were at least 500lbs or not, and he done your surgery, please let me of your experience with Dr. Rabkin and staff. Thanks for reading my post.

DS on 09/18/08

I live in Clayton and I am having surgery next week 8/20 with Dr. Rabkin. I have met him and his staff and was very impressed. I have three personal friends who have had Dr. Rabkin and they all had realy good experiences.

I am a Kaiser patient and won an appeal to be refered to him!!

Thanks girls! But Dr. Rabkin doesn't accept Medicare, so going there is not an option. Good luck!
