Start over, go back to basics before you consider a revision. Your pouch will still work.....you can still work it....

Nice to see you back.

Wow Keri you have definitely been through enough that your entitled to a bit of koo koo.  I pray that things continue to go in a positive direction.  I say there is nothing wrong with looking at your options and making a decision from there. Just my two cents.

All the best

Monica

Good to see you back Keri and I truly hope that you will do well from the extreme treatment!

As far as the revision, I would do that pouch test and if you can tolerate the Lindora stuff do that....whatever it takes because I am telling you that if you dump the carbs and keep the good carbs between 40-50 a day and watch your portions, you will dump the weight. I have lost over 50 lbs this year and I am 6 years out. I had gained 25 last year and I thought WTF and got myself accountable again. Your pouch will still work. So instead of going through another surgery....try and work your pouch again!

Really glad to hear that you are doing better!!! Thumbs Up

I'm so glad to see you posting, and even more happy to read how well you are doing!   I'd not discorage you from seeking at least information on a revision if that is what you really want to do, however, you probably need to give yourself time to heal in a lot of ways.  I bet a lot of the weight regain has to do with your illness, your coping with it, and maybe a side effect of medicines or even how your body was metabolizing during the hardest part of your sickness.  Now that you're feeling better and able to put some energy into this part of your life, focusing on the "must do's" of wls might just get you losing again.  (And if you're still doing it after December I'll work on it with you, I gotta lose again too once this baby is out!)  Good luck!

Do I remember you......"Is a Pigs ***** Pork"???? Them were the days eh?  Anyhoo, you are so not alone in the weight loss surgery drop out school. I was up 30lbs. I've recently lost 15lbs with the help of being single (being on the market) and taking Phentermine to help suppress my appetite. It's really working.

Welcome back and here's to getting back on track!!!

Hey Nadine,
Glad to see you posting. About the Phentermine your taking, is that prescription or over-the-counter? Heck, I need to lose some weight too.
Take care...

I'm in the same boat as you, four years out and lost 120, but didn't make goal.  Actually, for me to make goal that would be another 100lbs.  Yes, thought revision, but haven't gone that route since I did do the pouch test and yup, it still works.  I just needed to find the right vehicle...for me that is Atkins.  I'm a Protein Diva these days.  I still occasionally toy with the idea of a revision and have actually given myself a "due date" which means "if I don't reach a certain weight by a certain date I will get a revision."  Right now just going back to the basics.  Good Luck!

PS  Have you thought about a Lap Band as a revision?  I have.

garweeg.gifAre you sure this will work?

I sure do remember you my dear!  In fact I have the pics from the cruise not that far from me now!  LOL!  I'm sorry to hear you've been dx'ed with MS but I AM glad that you're on the mend.  I have a feeling that the surgeons won't touch you until you're immune system has had a chance to heal.  I agree with what everyone so far has said about going back to basics & testing out your pouch again.  I all else fails check out a revision.

I'm in the same boat as Miss Donna these days and come December will need to be dropping some weight as well!

(((hugs)))
