Wow is it Friday yet? Oh yeah one more day right gang???? OKay rise and shine...well shine always!

Sad news of Steve and Darrel losing Josie...we all know how near and dear we all hold our furbabies to our hearts even when they are poo poo's. I am really sorry Steve Kisses

I have not read too much of the board. I sneak a peek at work like yesterday because it was a short day in terms of class time and I did not want to get a slobbered up at my 1st prep. I was able to roll out another 50lbs of clay yesterday (did 50 the day before) in a record time of a short class period and texture it all with slip (clay made into a mud like substance). I might roll another 50 today for added insurance.

Yesterday when I left work at 2:20, I went directly over to the other school and worked until 7 or so. Wow can you say tired. I am working on the detail parts right now...the foliage and such and this is what I accomplished yesterday...it is all very small cut pieces which is taking the time....it will look good when grouted though. The pink ribbon is symbolic for the woman I do this mural for who died of breast cancer and I that weaving the pink ribbon on an ocotillo as if it had been blown there and caught up would be a subliminal reminder to never forget the ongoing fight...here are some pics:

DSC_0415.jpgDSC_0419.jpgand the bigger pic to give some perspective:

DSC_0423.jpgit is tedious, but in a weird way relaxing...okay my back killed me LOL

Lu and Vicki....I know you gals are having problems with your back and I hope that all is getting better for both of you! Vicki did that shot or whatever help?

Nikki...I sure hope that you get your paper work in and get that job you want!

Bekki...hang in there girl...I am praying something comes through for you!

To all you LOSERS....OMG you are doing so dang fantastic! I am very proud of you...and you know those who gained....like you SCOTT...it is all okay...do not trip because as long as you are rocking the tool....the weight is going to go bye bye....remember our evolution has pre programed us for...if you starve your body...your body is going to hang on to the excess for as long as it can!!!!

Patty C I thought for sure the box was soon to come back to me. If you want to start a box...go ahead, but I plan on keeping it up...was working on a theme one!

Darlene I did like the idea of having a box that never ends too...that is kind of interesting!

Jess you will be smokin on a motorcycle!

I really wish I  could remember things right now...but I am truly brain dead and need to get in the rain locker to start my day!

Know that I care about all of you....if it was not for all of you...there would not be a GREAT Caliboard!!!!!

PEACE OUT!!!!! Biker Babe

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

Well this is going to be one heck of a school year for me.  I agreed to work an auxillery (algebra) my conference period.  So now I have to keep track of three subjects (english, life skills and math) and keep up with my IEP's with no prep time.  But frankly it is a blessing.  Not getting the signing bonus money any more put a serious hurting on my budget and all I could do it pray that some additional money came from somewhere.  God is good.  In a addition I will be heading up a learning team which requires an extra 4 hours of my time but again I'll take it where I can get it.  So to say the least I don't know if I'm coming or going and its only the second week.

Janine I am just in awe and love the pink ribbon.

Everyone enjoy the day

Monica

Oh Janine!  that is going to be so cool!  Be careful with your back ok?

Yep!  One more day!!!  Saturday I am taking Tommy to Mariotts theme park.  I can't wait.  He's never really been any where like this before and it should be a blast for him, as well as me!  lol

Today is my last physical therapy for my wrist.  I will miss those ladies there!  Always just making me laugh and they have really worked their magic on my wrist.  It is feeling a lot better lately.  Yay!

Well you all have a great, great day!

Jeni

Good Morning to you and all the Crew Janine.

Wi**** was Friday myself as I am feeling drained this morning and will be happy tomorrow when it is TGIF! But first I need to plow through a Thursday and no doubt have at least a small pile of things to catch up on at work after taking yesterday afternoon off.

Let me shout out a BIG thank you for all the notes, PM's and e-mails from everyone here on the loss of our Josie yesterday. A very difficult afternoon to be sure and we so appreciated all the love and support from our OH family.

I should mention Joey since he had his visit with the vet along with Josie. They shaved his fur on the two wound sites, his neck and back. The back wound has four fairly deep puncture wounds from the rotts bites. Since they are on his back they don't drain. I never thought about that before the vet explained. So after they shaved him they took him out to flush out the wounds and pack them with antibiotics. He was running a temp so has an infection which they gave us oral antibiotics for and a pain pill as he has been hurting after the dogfight. Blondie Joe is too old to get into a fight with rotts!!! We need to put a hot compress on his back a couple times a day along with the pills and then some neosporum on the wounds. He should be feeling better in a few days. Thanks Lu for asking about him. In the trama of Josie I forgot to mention him last night.

Anyway, thanks again you guys. You never fail to be the best support system I have ever known with your love and friendship!
Wishing everyone a Terrific Thursday!

Steve,
First let me say how sorry I am for your loss, I know what a difficult decision that must have been for both of you, but I know that you made the right decision. I have had to make that decision many times in my life and it never gets easier. I always try to remember, it is quality over quantity when it comes to a loved ones life. I want to suggest something to you that I have seen at the Animal Friends Sanctuary in Utah, they have a cemetery there for all of the loved one that have passed and it is a truly beautiful place, for those humans who have had loved pets pass they also have these tree like hangers built throughout the park with wind chimes on them that have a beloved pet that has passed on them. It is to symbolize that as they chime, the pet is running and playing here on earth. There can be no wind blowing, but when you walk through there they will all start to chime. It is beautiful music. So I though that perhaps you could hang a wind chime in your garden at home in her memory, and when you hear it chime you will know that she is close and romping in the garden.
I have several in my yard  to symbolize the loved ones we have lost over the years and it is comforting to hear them chime and know that they are with me and happy.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and D at this difficult time.
Big Hugs, Lisa G.

Good Morning Janine & Everyone.
The mural is looking good so far. Just dont work yourself into the ground.
Its not that I have any paperwork to do. I have to have a background check and do a lie detector test. That will be next week. The they will chose the best person. Of course I am hoping that is me.
Today is yet another day of orientation. Atleast next week training will be all on the floor. Oh well off to get ready for work.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations.
I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty,
believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
