How much does it cost to join "Curves"?

I'm in Southern California and considering joining Curves. I can't get a price unless I actually go in for a visit and I really don't want to be put on the spot to join immediately if I did go in for a visit.

Does anyone here belong to Curves and if so how much did it cost to join and what is your monthly payment? Any help is appreciated. Also, do you like Curves?

I live in Northern California and did Curves about 2 years ago and it was about 40 dollars a month.   Hope that helps :)

I just heard that if you take a shopping bag of food in for the food bank you can join for free ($129 start up fee) and only pay the $39 a month. But don't know if that is every where or just here.

But go to curves.com and look

$40/month. Do not let them charge you an enrollment fee. Tell the person that you will come back when there is a promotion that does not include an enrollment fee.

It was fun there. Easy workout, but I felt the sweat. I quit because of the price of driving there. The music can be obnoxious. I have a friend in san bernardino area whose Curves only played christian music, which offended her and she got to close her account because they would not change the music.
